I own a GL450 and this is just not as good. IMO the older one looks much more masculine and stands out from the rest of the Mercedes line-up; however, this is just an M that got stretched too far

If I had the choice I'd rather spend my money on an AMG G55 or G65 Gelandewagen than this. A far classier vehicle and a true off roader.

I can't get over the headlights. I hate Mercedes's new headlights. Especially on a GL. It's more sportier than mean looking now. Ruined it for me. I like the old one better.

I own a 2011 GL, and this model looks vastly more feminine! I detect some copied styling cues towards the rear form the infiniti JX.
