If they could just find an inexpensive way to mass produce carbon fiber this car would be $250,000 instead.
These are just the direct costs you are speculating about - you have to weigh in the risk and the cost of that capital
And I doubt it costs them $166,000 per vehicle to make them once the initial $252,000,000 is factored out. By doing this then figuring 918 units*$850,000*(.20) we end up around $160m. $160m+$252m shows $412m and leaves a projected profit of $350m!
Before someone asks, no I didnt forget there were development costs, but even generously per portioned on a 33/20 model (33% upfront development and 20% unit variable to price ratio) they still come out way ahead. I doubt it cost $252m to engineer.
$775,000,000~ in projected revenue if they sell out at that price. There's so much profit that its almost disgusting but wealthy people the world over exist as demand so they will capitalize on pricing the supply. Hats off, they know their game.

Everything concerning the engine is on top to keep its heat as far away as posible from the batteries which are down

It must not be a problem Ben. Side-exit exhausts should have a similar problem and they've been used for decades.
When the car is stopped, there is no aerodynamic impact. Heat rises, particulate falls. Ever seen smog? Same thing on a small basis. Not a problem when moving, but ever been on a drive where u never stopped once? Similar to a motorcycle, I bet
The exhaust fires away from anything that would aerodynamically suck the exhaust back into the cabin, not sure I understand the concern.
I love Porsche. If there wasn't already bandwagon, I'd build it. This is another amazing car! Love the exhaust, hopefully it doesn't make the driver smell though...sitting still would concern me with it
that dosent mean anything, companys change car parts all the time, but considering what it looked like last time we saw it and now it has its own body, everything on the car will probally carry over

the lights wete sweeter originally. they were empty in the center, the spoiler was retractable as well
The sound must be deafening at full throttle with the exhaust just behind your head
originally where the exaust are were air intakes that rose up @a certain speed like the murcielago but even cooler. I guess if they arent going that route the exaust idea is cool
