I saw new car bmw the built bmw leith in north carolina. just believed 40 years that old car bmw as like no broken down engine, and i see old car bmw on highway has 1979 bmw doesnt trade new car bmw. I suprised lot people buy bmw not break down a stilling run without repair that bmw.
Graham, yes, it is a masterpiece. They really are the last aggressive looking M car so I couldnt agree more on the E46.
Very nice. I hate the look of the new 6 series, but love what they did with the M6. All cars in the M line up are beast though but nothing's taking the place of the e46. Now THAT was a masterpiece.
I can't figure out why nobody likes the rear, I think it's awesome!

Had 2001 525i and mom had 1998 528i, the 528i introduced us to BMW greatness.
E39 M5, oh man, I should start a family so I can have a valid excuse for four doors. This is what the M5 is all about.
Easily my favourite M5, current one included. There's a clip on YouTube with one if these with a race exhaust and headers which makes the best V8 sound I've ever heard. Played the clip dozens of times and still gives me goosebumps hearing it.
Which kid wouldn't want a picture of this M5 on their wall?!! Almost every car you see on the road today use BMW as the bench mark.
I've had 3 of these @ different times & god I miss it, the handling was so good, no body roll & surprisingly easy to drift.
And yes, John, it really is a blast to drive. With the stiffer suspension set-up and wider modern tyres, it corners almost as fast as any modern day coupé of similar size. And it's still is one of the best designed and practical coupés ever made IMO.
Thanks John. I've had nothing but praise and pleasure from owning it and it turns heads wherever I go. It's been modified with 18" Breyton wheels, uprated brakes, suspension and a sports exhaust which makes it the best straight six I've ever heard.

I have one of these in Diamond Black with full M-Technic bodykit. Had it over 19 years and will never sell it. The only other M car I truly desire is an E39 M5, and after driving one a few years ago, I really want one badly.
Whaaaat? ⬇ If you saw BMW's designs compared to all the other cars in the 80s, you would understand how advanced they were. So was Mercedes Benz, and they still are to this day.
I truly do not understand the love for the older BMW's. To me they look like a prototypical shit box from the 80's
I've been fortunate to have a go in one of these albeit a very short distance. But even then the car felt so alive and the throttle response was instant and it just wanted to rev. Such a nice car.

It is one of the best handling cars of Bmw! in the turns much more stabil as a M3, but going sideways in it is on of the coolest things you can do.
I had the pleasure to take a seat in one of these E30 race cars it was the best feeling ever!

Yeah with the exception of that hatchback they look awesome. You probably like impalas and Taurus' and grand prixs... BMWs are too simple to be ugly
Browsing this whole gallery made me realize just how HIDEOUS these cars are. They drive nice, but good lord are they ugly.
I've liked all the bmws we've had, now my uncle even has 2000 e46 328i it's the perfect balance.
Mikey wen u said the CTSV is faster are you comparing the E60 to the new CTSV or old one or the F10 to the new CTSV because last time I checked a 05 M5 is faster than a 05 CTSV and the f10 M5 is the fastest sedan around the nurburgring. UMad GMFanboy

@Mickey! The M5 won the Panamera turbo by 2 seconds. Before that, the panamera was the fastest
