I actually have a 383 stroker myself, but I'm only making 350HP and 425lbft at the wheel tho.
Yeah I have 285/40/19s on my car and it'll put the power down pretty well. I'm sure my suspension stuff plays a part in that though. Tim get a big blower!
get to take one of the babys to prom next year :)). my girlfriends grandma let me take her 81 trans am. battery had an issue. my girls ma is buyin this and lettin me take it. so excited.
Small block. 383. Would need to change the heads out too if I was going to go with a blower. Can't really afford that right now sadly
I have 275's in the rear of my Nova and on the street they hook up just fine with a little under 600hp. Would love to get a blower someday too. Also, nice lookin Vette!
man finally a test drive in the real world ..... no crying about the solid rear axle!! I would trade my 2010 but the cheapest I found out of four dealerships was $74,000. that is a $20,000 dealer markup ... that was before Carroll Shelby died ....

I have 315/40/18's on my car, they hook well enough. I want 335/35/18's but I cant fit them easily on my cobra. The 2013 gt500 with 335 Hoosiers (dr's) and a 4500rpm launch control start should run low low 11's/ 10.90's
Thanks man. I'm in college and all I could do so far is repaint it. This summer redoing interior flaws (since I got this one for 10500). It has around 400 with the parts on it, but it's wicked fast. Doing AFR heads cam within a year. Aiming for 500.
With this power I would expect 320's + in the rear. Kinda wondering about 285's. That's about what my Vette has and it was ment for 350 hp/tq.

I would want the 1965 Shelby GT350 over all of those cars. That's my ultimate dream car right there. The 2013 GT500 is so freaking amazing. I won't be able to contain myself when I see one in person.

@thomas no gtr's r not cheaply biult. Nissan makes good quality cars that last a lifetime. And Ford on the other hand well....you know cheeeeeeeap
Gtrs r a no go 4 me mustangs rock my world and I've been in both and I'd hav 2 say mustangs they drive smoother faster and they last forever GTRs r cheaped out and fall apart and mustangs just win all together AMERICAN PRIDE
And before people know the 2013 s302 has 700 hp its supercharged has intercooler with race suspension to make it lighter and more agile the the 500 and its top speed is 210 and it looks better
This better not be an argument with the GTR, this car is for fun and being loud, the GTR is for....being quicker out of the corners. I'm a Chevy guy, but I'd rather have this over the GTR.
I personally think the Shelby is a better bang for the buck then the GTR. Sure, the GTR is a little faster in the quarter and around the track. But it's also almost 40k more expensive.
The Nissan GTR may be quicker off the line & in the quarter mile because its AWD but the GT500 is flat out faster with 200mph
This is a nice car, as is the gtr, but saying one is better than the other because it has more hp is the dumbest thing I've ever heard
@Rockesh They're not in the same class, the Corvette ZR1 is better than the GT-R but they're not in the same class so what's your point?
My aunt and uncle own a stock s281 stock and beat a keaton sacrys 2010 gt500
Ford built the most powerful production v8 in the world, they put a very conservative tune so it won't have an astirix: "also the most blown up production engine" A tune, bolt ons, and slicks will put this car in the 9's. 725whp territory.
I just think ever since 2005 the mustangs have gone down in styling. There getting better again but my favorite mustang is still the mach 1

GT500 just has weight to it, it sounds cool and classy, I like it.
yea GT650 sounds awesome but i can see why they would want to keep GT500
It's not a production car Zach, Also interesting fact, koenigseggs earlier cars used a 4.6 ford mill they tuned to 550-650hp then they made their own v8.
