2013 Volvo XC90 Updated to Mark Tenth Anniversary

Volvo’s luxury crossover SUV has adopted a number of changes for the 2013MY.

According to Volvo, this is the most significantly updated XC90 in a decade with the luxury crossover SUV receiving a new look and some fresh features. Design changes include a fully color-coordinated exterior, and new body color front & rear bumpers, sill moldings and wheel arches. Volvo has also added standard LED daytime running lights and taillights, as well as a new silver front bumper bar, chrome taillight trim, silk matte rearview mirrors, and 18-inch 'Thalia' alloys.

The R-Design is distinguished by 19-inch 'Ixion' alloys, a sport-tuned suspension and steering and unique R-Design grille. Inside, the 2013 XC90 3.2 cabin has been peppered with luxury accents, such as sanded silver aluminum inlays and white instrumentation lighting. Premium Plus and Platinum trims include soft leather seats and red wood inlays, and all models gain rain sensor windshield wipers and headlight washers. Individual options for the XC90 include a dual screen rear seat entertainment system and Volvo's Blind Spot Information System (BLIS).

The seven-seater is powered by a 3.2-liter inline six cylinder engine, delivering 240hp and 236lb-ft of torque, which is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and connected to an optional AWD system. As you'd expect of a Volvo, there are a glut of safety features including Roll Stability Control and Side Impact Protection System with side airbags. The 2013 Volvo XC90 is on sale now, with prices starting at $39,500 for the base model and reaching $45,400 for the R-Design Platinum.
