Go away Tin. I love my regal gsx
Cameron Duncan Condy Jun 13, 2012
Agreed luxury compacts are somewhat useless. Depending on MPG it might be well accepted. Luxury car with great economy and respectable power at a decent price why not?
Ben August Jun 13, 2012
@stephen: Ya I didn't realize that until later
Henz Herrero Jun 13, 2012
Imo, luxury compacts are near pointless.. Ill be surprised if its priced at mid to high 20s and do well.. Might as well get a regal for that price..
Cameron Duncan Condy Jun 13, 2012
Presumably this the same engine used in Cobalt SS, Sky and HHR SS. GM produced a LNF turbo upgrade kit which increases 30hp and 80tq. Proves how potent this motor is and considering this article states luxury car I deem it a comfy daily driver sleepr
Matty Michaels Jun 13, 2012
*it sorry. First misspelled word on CB
Matty Michaels Jun 13, 2012
I vote to keep iy
Matty Michaels Jun 13, 2012
@tin Trent just got a verano
Tin Nguyen Jun 13, 2012
I vote to ax the brand. How many of us on here drive a Buick?
Stephen Tyler Learn Jun 13, 2012
Buick stated that this isn't supposed to be a sports sedan at all. It's designed to be comfortable and efficient
Dylan Bruder Jun 13, 2012
Exactly guys it's a 'sporty' luxury car not an all out sports car it would make an amazing daily driver if you ask me
Scott Gracey Jun 13, 2012
A second is a pretty big difference in 0-60 times...
Justin Routh Jun 13, 2012
And imo the reason it doesnt have more power is because they were looking for a good balance between power and efficiency. It doesnt really need more power its an entry level luxury car
Justin Routh Jun 13, 2012
6.2 sounds pretty decent to me for a sedan with 250hp. Only about a second off the 0-60 of the base mustang and camaro. And this isnt meant to be a sports car so i dont know what all the complaints are about
Steve Waskiewicz Jun 13, 2012
The I4+turbo isn't for power as much as it's for a balance between power and fuel economy.
Scott Gracey Jun 13, 2012
That 0-60 seems terrible for that much hp...
Logan LeMonnier Jun 13, 2012
The fact that an American car company is offering a turbocharged manual car is nice but 250 is low power. 0-60 in 6.2 seconds is that fast for what it is
Stephen Wicoff Jun 13, 2012
The engine is a 4cyl; not a v6
Ben August Jun 13, 2012
Actually ya, the 2008 Pontiac G8 came with a 3.0L NA v6, capable of 256hp. That's +250, no turbo, v6. So what's GM doin?
Ben August Jun 13, 2012
250 from a turbo? I don't understand why so low. Pretty sure GM's mid year 2000 models (think Pontiac) were NA, and ~250hp. 250 seems low
Jason Dannheim Jun 13, 2012
Seems pretty impressive for a car of this size and at this price point. Also makes its bigger brother seems underpowered. Hopefully Buick will have a stronger powerplant in the 2013/2014 Regal GS to further distance itself.
Trent Bourgeois Jun 13, 2012
Apparently you have never driven a Buick.
Dainius Kuodis Jun 13, 2012
Buick will scare away it's current customers with turbos :D
Trent Bourgeois Jun 13, 2012
Just bought a verano. This car rivals 40k lux. cars (comfort and ride) for half the price. More power would be even better. It already has enough to pass easily on the interstate. A 250hp version would be nice for a 3300lb car.
Hank Austin Jun 13, 2012
335i still has more power and any 3-series probably will embarrass this thing through the corners
Bull Dogone Jun 13, 2012
Really? It's got more HP than the brainwashed BMW 3 series, a car it's not intended to compete against. Think that deserves credit. GM is marching towards conforming to CAFE standards and power for mass public appeal.
Josh Banning Jun 13, 2012
250hp is a lot for a hot hatch, but not for a saloon
Zachary Maurer Jun 13, 2012
Hey gm always have classic names, nova=no go...
Barry Boo Wilson Jun 13, 2012
Same thing I was thinking Tin.
Tin Nguyen Jun 13, 2012
250hp and 260 lb-ft is powerful? My 8 yr old Infiniti has the same amount of hp.
Kyle McCullough Jun 13, 2012
Yeah, I thought the same thing when I first heard the name.
Christian De Prisco Jun 13, 2012
Funny verano is Spanish for summer, I expected a cabrio or spyder, not a sedan: who chooses names at Buick? An American idiot? Lol
Description: As the 2013 Buick Verano Turbo nears its launch later this year we should have more details on performance, efficiency and pricing. Until then, enjoy the American company's recently released phot...

Logan LeMonnier Jun 13, 2012

Abraham Mendoza Jun 13, 2012
Nah, I think those names should be on cars that are more fitting to the names.
Tegra1 Jun 13, 2012
I think it looks like Buick is finally going to build a world class car,but I wish the name that was choosen would have been Skylark or even Wildcat
Abraham Mendoza Jun 13, 2012
Still better than the old Buick. Er...Older.
Steve Waskiewicz Jun 13, 2012
Front=nice Rear=holy Hell, roll it in flour and look for the wet spot.

Samuel TheGentleman Harris II Jun 18, 2012
It's nice but I wouldn't buy it just because it's a Buick , but then again I only ever own imports
Abraham Mendoza Jun 13, 2012
Haters gonna hate....
Logan LeMonnier Jun 13, 2012
If only it didn't have the Buick symbol on it
Josh Banning Jun 13, 2012
Looks really chunky
Abraham Mendoza Jun 13, 2012
Yeah. cause the Vette, Camaro, CTS V, and Caprice are boring.
Tom Mcleod Jun 13, 2012
Yawn.. Boring as hell.. No stance.. No attitude.. Just typical GM boring..
Devin Babyn Jun 13, 2012
Why does that T make me think I have to say it with a backwards stutter
Stephen Tyler Learn Jun 13, 2012
Of course this isn't a Ferrari there's a clutch pedal
Henz Herrero Jun 13, 2012
I feel bad for u if u think this looks like a ferrari...
Travis Prinya Hood Jun 13, 2012
Nope. Looks plasticky all over.
Brandon Lidy Jun 13, 2012
Anyone else think this looks like a Ferrari from this shot ?
John Jenkins Jun 13, 2012
