Most likely it will be a works conversion just like the old vanquish. They only came with the paddle shift, but AM works came with a conversion to manual. It cost something like 14,000£
I'd read somewhere that there wasn't going to be a manual 'box available on this car. Can anyone confirm this?
Jarrod. You never buy an Aston because of it's power. Rather because it's a gentlemens sports car. It's beautiful and luxurious. The power is just a bonus.
There is a manual. Why is the auto 6-speed, not 7? Aston are a little behind it on drivetrains if you ask me. Sitting in the aventador, F12 price range with 700hp cars is going to be embarrassing come review time.
Regardless of what it replaces "officially", there will not be a One-77 again, which pits this against the F12 Berlinetta and by default the Aventador.
First page said it is the new flagship for Aston Martin, because the One-77 was a limited production car and is now sold out.
Normally I would hate that colour but I think that it works for this car so well! I think Aston have done enough to make this distinguishable from other Astons! Also love the power increase!

@phillip, I wouldn't call the F12 a GT car for the same reason I wouldn't call the Aventador a GT car, because that would be stupid, The F12 is a two-seater supercar, the Aston is not, so there is no reason for them to compete as you suggested
I can't wait until the new Vanquish S comes out. Old vanquish had 460bhp couldn't break the 200+mph and the S had 520 and did 200+mph.
LOOK at the thing.. Then just try to complain. It's not for racing, it's for rich people who want to have fun driving and look awesome, which anyone does driving one of these. And the noise any V12 makes is worth it..
O-62 in 4.1 is a little slow.... for the price. For 36,000 usd you can have factory supercharged toyota tundra that can pull those times. Yes i know it will not go around a corner or reach near that top speed.. just saying.
4.1 to 60 sounds about on par for a car of this size and class. I for one wouldn't be complaining about how slow it feels whilst sitting behind the wheel. As previously stated people don't buy Astons for their outright power and top speed.
That's such a slow 0-60 time. Im sorry but anything this exclusive with a V12 needs easy sub-3s times. Not for bragging but just to show you are up to modern standards.
The db9 did 186 with nearly 100hp less. Idk, something seems fishy to me
The interiors are so nice on Astons that I can actually say the price tag seems justified despite being slightly slower to 60 than my 60k Corvette. A well done GT car, I usually think GT cars fail at speed and luxury too but this is a goodcompromise
But Aston does claim to be a direct competitor with Ferrari, and their GT car (Berlinetta) makes 700 ponies. If they had just used the One-77 motor they could back up that claim.
Astons are more luxury sports cars than supercars. I'm not surprised by the numbers.

Easy. The 2+2 version has small rear occasional seats in the rear. The 2+0 version doesn't have these seats so is strictly a two-seater.
The only conclusion that I can draw from a 2+0 is that there is space behind the rear seats, whereas in a standard two seater there isn't. Best example I can think of is a Mustang or Camaro with the rear seats removed.
2+2 has bucket front an rear, a 4 seater has a bench rear that can accommodate 5 people in a pinch.
I have known the difference between a 2+2 and a four seater, but what is the difference between a 2+0 and a 2 seater?

It's full name would be "Aston Martin AM130 Vanquish", which is 11 syllables . If you include the name of the company then of course it's longer.

I think they could have settled on 310 Vanquish, everyone knows its an Aston Martin.
Mercedes-benz sl65 amg black series is long.. Lamborghini murcialago lp-670 sv superveloce is long.. This is just fine.
The name is like six syllables.
I'm torn with the name because I liked the simplicity of DBS as the name.
AM310 Vanquish doesn't sound all that bad too me...
I'm not sure if I like the name. They could have used "AM310" or "Vanquish" but not both, it's too long long IMO
