In the middle of last month, we were able to confirm that the new
BMW M3 would indeed drop its V8 and head towards an inline-six setup. According to a report from das Germans over at BimmerToday, the new engine could put out just shy of 480hp. The previous generation BMW M3 made use of a 4.0-liter V8 which was good for 414hp, so an extra 70 or so horsepower would really spice things up in the German automaker's lineup.
