Description: Following the freshening of the standard and new Limited F-150 variants, Ford has extended the courtesy to the SVT Raptor, which benefits from a few minor enhancements for the 2013MY. The 2013 Ford F-...Add Comments6
Patrick SchalkJun 27, 2012 Yeah when you air down it creates a bigger contact patch for maximum traction. Unfortunately I think beadlocks are illegal in Oklahoma. I doubt you would get a ticket for them though
Jordan SmithJun 27, 2012 Thanks Jeremy. I've heard of them before but I never knew that they were called beadlocks.
Jeremy SiebertJun 27, 2012 That silver ring on the outside edge of the wheel is the bead lock...it essentially bolts the bead of the tire to the wheel...
Jeremy SiebertJun 27, 2012 When driving off-road it is helpful to "air-down", reducing tire pressure, allowing the tire carcass to flex over rocks and give you better traction. Normal wheels can safely run tire pressures around 12-18psi. bead locks can allow single digit pressures, sometimes below 5psi.
Alex VasquezJul 14, 2012 This truck is pure genius and jeep people get the hell out of here.. This is no mans land for you! This truck will eat all jeeps
Peter PapenJun 29, 2012 I love it!!
And I like how Ford stands for it's name with this ginormous sign :)
Cody GillardJun 28, 2012 that is my official dream truck noone else mine
Dustin DimmittJun 28, 2012 It only gets 14mpg hwy it's a half ton pickup with 411hp why can't it do better than 14mpg hwy even dodge does better than that
Chris GainesJun 28, 2012 I think "raptor" would look sick
Mikey JimenezJun 27, 2012 I wouldn't mind it saying SVT.
Devin BabynJun 27, 2012 Kent badass would be it saying Raptor in the grill not Ford. It just looks tacky as hell. I love the truck and the company but I feel it's the worst grill I've ever seen
Tyler TarboxJun 27, 2012 They need to bring back the Lightning!
Mikey JimenezJun 27, 2012 This would be awesome to take to the desert or the sand dunes at pismo beach. I agree with Devin tho that grill has to go.
Jordan SmithJun 27, 2012 Those lights look like a transformer.
Paul DickeyJun 27, 2012 That grill is one of the best looking parts of the truck. And the beadlocks are just an option. Don't have to get em.
Mike CasseltonJun 27, 2012 Jason,
I don't want to rain on your parade, but if the beadlocks made it so I couldn't drive it in Kali, I'd be OK with that. Still a very nice truck even if it isn't a chopped up BMW ... :-P
Paul LissonaJun 27, 2012 I worked at a Ford dealer too and remember first seeing these a few years ago.
chikenbagJun 27, 2012 i love how the most capable truck in the world is also one of the best looking. awesomeness
Jordan JacksonJun 27, 2012 When ever I see one of these, I grin ear to ear, I love working at a Ford dealer!
Jessica DrakeJun 27, 2012 Unless I'm running Baja. I'll take my jeep jk
Jason BrowerJun 27, 2012 Am I the only one who thinks bead locks are a terrible idea? Unless the car never touched the road it can't go to California, bead locks are super heavy, there's a ton more road noise, and every jeep and truck already has fake bead lock wheels on.
Bruce-Almighty TumblinJun 27, 2012 Ill take mine murdered out thank you! (all blacked out :-)
Alex BouckleyJun 27, 2012 Wait. No interior pics? Way to go carbuzz
Zachary MaurerJun 27, 2012 What a beauty, I love these, but I do wish gmc put their act competitor that was at the north american international auto show a couple years back into production, this has no competitors
Devin BabynJun 27, 2012 They really need to change the grill. Don't understand how they could pick that
Justin KlumppJun 27, 2012 Im not a Ford fan but this is one of my favorite trucks
Steven NevetsJun 27, 2012 I'm not a truck guy at all, but when I see when of these I always take a second look.
Dillon DixonJun 27, 2012 Now that's a truck! I freaking love these!

Alex VasquezJul 14, 2012 Ben I agree buddy, twin turbo 800bph velociraptor.
Paul LissonaJun 28, 2012 But that's a v6 this is a v8 which is way better for a full sized truck.
Ben NortonJun 27, 2012 You wouldn't want more power?! Hell I'll take mine with a Hennessy kit
Mikey JimenezJun 27, 2012 @Igor it's an all terrain truck, HP doesn't really matter, what's more important is gearing and Torque. I wouldn't really want any more HP than it already has.
Forrest WoodJun 27, 2012 The F series 3.5 turbo that you speak off ain't got nothing on the raptor
Forrest WoodJun 27, 2012 The raptor as a whole is designed as an off road truck
Igor NatsioksJun 27, 2012 That's weak, the f series 3.5turbo has 420 tq and 375 hp. I know it's turbo but u get the best of both worlds , power and economy. Chip it and u have same output as raptor.
Paul LissonaJun 28, 2012 I really don't like f150s having a Eco boost v6. I think a full size truck should have a v8 for sure.
Lee GardnerJun 27, 2012 Hey jack what about that 5.7liter mopar hemi that will smoke any ecoboost crap all day long!!!!
Patrick SchalkJun 27, 2012 Yeah I'd still have a Power Wagon over this but these are sweet. Props to Ford for even building it.
Devin BabynJun 27, 2012 Mikey no reason to bring up specs for chev's 6.2 when fords puts out more
Matt PiccoloJun 27, 2012 @ mikey, I think he was talking about entry level v8's
Mikey JimenezJun 27, 2012 @Jack did you forget about GM's 6.2L? Because that makes 402hp and 417lb/ft of torque.
tysquirrel10s Jun 27, 2012 dodge has the ram power wagon which would be the closest truck from another company
Jack HowardJun 27, 2012 Umm have you seen what Ford trucks have compared to GM? Lets see... Fords entry level v8 = 5.0L 360hp and 380lb ft. GMs= 4.8 piece of junk and 5.3L 315hp and 330lb ft
Mikey JimenezJun 27, 2012 I kind of like the ram runners a little more those thing BA!
Matthew CrightonJun 27, 2012 Dodge ftw but damn that is a sexy truck.
Dillon MageeJun 27, 2012 The only truck I might want.
Jack HuffordJun 27, 2012 Agreed, lee. Now GM needs to make something like this.
Justin KlumppJun 27, 2012 This is the one thing that Ford can do better than Chevy IMO. Make an epic offroad street legal truck
Lee GardnerJun 27, 2012 I don't like fords but I love this
Dillon DixonJun 27, 2012 Such a good looking truck. This looks so much better than the standard F-150.
Jacob Viiper McCordJul 12, 2012 I wish this had dual angled exhaust tips in the rear :/
Jordan JacksonJun 28, 2012 The fact that everyone is arguing about this is a goofs thing to, lol
Paul LissonaJun 28, 2012 It's really good you can still get a ram as a manual trans. Wish Ford had that still.
Mikey JimenezJun 27, 2012 @Matt what's you point? That's your opinion, and to be quite frank I could careless about it cause you hate every American car that isn't ford.
Patrick SchalkJun 27, 2012 I work for Chrysler Jeep Dodge and I've seen SO many people trade in their F150s and F250s for the new Rams. They are freakin amazing. A Laramie Longhorn is one of the nicest trucks you can buy right now.
Devin BabynJun 27, 2012 "The new cummins are garbage" a quote from a diesel mechanic that I know. He also said the dirtymax is better after you put on aftermarket injectors. He didn't know enough about the new power stroke to form an opinion though
Matt PiccoloJun 27, 2012 @ mikey, that ram runner is really ugly though, this looks good
Michael LyJun 27, 2012 Yeah raptors bend frames...... I hope they tried to fix that issue with this new generation
Mikey JimenezJun 27, 2012 @Jeremy ya buddy! When it comes to diesel it's Cummins or nothing.
Mikey JimenezJun 27, 2012 @Jack Cummins (Ram) is far superior than the power stroke and duramax.
Jeremy SiebertJun 27, 2012 I've seen the Ram Runner, it's not production
Ford has never had a diesel that can top the Cummins...and the Ram is available with a manual tranny
Jack HowardJun 27, 2012 Its kinda obvious that Ford is better than Ram as of now. Ford has a much better array of engines ranging from their base line 5.0L to their 6.7L diesel
Mikey JimenezJun 27, 2012 @Jeremy look up the ram runner, I bet that might change your mind.
Jeremy SiebertJun 27, 2012 Plus, it's 3/4 ton frame isn't known to bend like that of the Raptor
Jeremy SiebertJun 27, 2012 Ram Power Wagon isn't as fast off-road, but it's more versatile....and the standard winch sway-bar disconnect, and lockers will get you outta more tight places than some bead locks with AT tires...
Matthew CrightonJun 27, 2012 @Calogero, I can see why you didnt know this because you dont know much about trucks but you should no that ram is better.
Calogero RumeoJun 27, 2012 I don't know a lot about trucks but what i hear always is that Ford makes the best ones. I would also love to have a Raptor or the Harley Davidson edition one.
Jordan JacksonJun 27, 2012 Peter, I work at a Ford, Chrysler, and Toyota dealer, my answer to that is no, just no
Yeah when you air down it creates a bigger contact patch for maximum traction. Unfortunately I think beadlocks are illegal in Oklahoma. I doubt you would get a ticket for them though

What are beadlocks?
Aren't beadlocks illegal in most states?
