The Nissan skyline was no stock , the Bugatti was and the skyline has faster acceleration off the line.
the veyron is a 16 cylinder that's y the full name is veyron 16.4 the 16 refers to the cylinders and the 4 refers to the turbos I don't no about it being a w or v but it is a 16
its not who crossed the line first. The veyron could have waited at the starting line for 20min then left and still have won the race.
I've watched this video millions of times and from what I saw clearly the GTR R34 won the the rest from take off to finish. I don't know how the Veyron won??? I need a clear answer on how this decision was made?
Even in the times it says the skyline won according to times, legit enough to me even with reaction time or what ever, the Vernon still wouldn't have caught up in time
and no matter how big of a skyline hater u r the fact that an I6 can keep up with a quad turbo v16 is impressive
y can't I say id get a skyline b4 a bugatti I mean I respect the bugatti for what it can do but it doesn't interest me im not into straight line speed, its kool to have but I would sacrifice straight speed for cornering speed any day plus I want a traditional 6spd not paddles

I could think of at least 8-12 street legal 9 sec cars that hit the local track here that would walk a veyron. Low 10's isn't fast anymore; that was epic in 95-00 but it's 2012, hot rod mags power tour guys have high 7 second street legal cars now.

Jose I don't know about you but when I see a skyline it is pretty bad ass and way more exciting to see than most cars
I would take the Bugatti because you are never going to be able to go that fast in a normal road and people looking at it would just think its a normal nissan

like Paul said the race was against the clock. The veyron had a slow reaction time but it took less time to cross the finish line.

The McLaren was the fastest car with a lot less grunt. That's why I like it more.
@chris the McLaren was in the same conditions. Why move and give the Bugatti an advantage?
They admitted in topgear magazine that the veyron had trouble with the extreme climate..!! If that test was done somewhere like Germany on the nardo test track it would of been a different story

@lee your right, in terms of stock, there are not many cars that can compete with the LFA, but I'd rather have an aventador w/ straight pipes over a stock LFA. If we're going for sound alone, I might even take an f430 with kriesegg or iPE exhaust too

wrong zonda blows veyron away around the track its two heavy and has to much power with not enough downforce to be fast around the corners
Anyone who likes the bug more than the zonda has little appreciation for art and sophistication. The zonda is a museum worthy artifact, the bug is contemporary exuberance.

The veyron is supposed to do all these things in the comfort of a super luxury car. Other cars are revved to the limit when you going for a top speed run. This gets there with ease. Y'all are thinking about it the completely wrong way.
The Veyron is definitely fast, but a drag strip and a track are two different things. On a real track I bet it would lose every one of these races, apart from the fighter jet of course

When tire tech is better, top speeds will hit 300 and up but for now no tire is stress rated to go faster than a bug. The tires are about 28,000 euros each. The tires on a venom or agera aren't as robust so it's a real danger to go fast in those
Tire failure. Bug et all won't go faster as tires pop at 275mph after 20 seconds. That said I'm not a fan of all the fanboy buglove. Ya it's a tech wonder but 9.8 to 10.1 with 1000hp and awd is kinda soft. Plenty of cars run low 9's rwd with 700whp

The hennessey venom also has a higher estimated top speed. But without the tests to prove it the veyron is still the fastest car in the world.
