Ferrari F1 Cars Sound Magnificent at Fiorano

Listening to the sweet sounds of Ferrari’s high-revving F1 engines always brightens up our day.
Comparing the sounds of the Ferrari F1 team's V10 and V12 racers is sort of like choosing between your two children: you love them both and take great satisfaction in their respective success. But comparing one to the other is a fool's errand. Marchettino, one of our favorite YouTube videographers, recently spotted two disparate generations of the Scuderia's development lapping Ferrari's private Fiorano test track. The first is the F2005 driven by Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello, the second a 412 T2 driven by Jean Alesi and Gerhard Berger.
The F2005 packs a 3.0-liter V10 with 940 horsepower. The second model predates its successor by ten years with a 3.0-liter V12 that had two more cylinders but, at 700 hp, was significantly less powerful. Both of them, however, scream to their stratospheric redlines, and need to be seen - as well as heard - to be believed.
