The Corvette Grand Sport is a useful on-the-go BBQ.
The Brits over at RecombuCars have found a new and clever way to utilize the Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport. The clip, starring Robert Llewellyn of Red Dwarf comedic fame, appears in human form to grill a full menu on the big LS3 engine.
"We lumped each of the ingredients into its own foil-based take-away container and sealed it. Each container was then placed next to the exhaust manifold - the part of the engine most likely to melt your skin off if you touch it - and secured to something sturdy using cable ties." They then "prayed with all their might" that the packages didn't explode or catch fire. Their "quintessentially English menu juxtaposed well with the quintessential American muscle car." The Corvette's LS3 engine generates a fair bit of heat from its 6.2 liters of displacement and its eight cylinders cranking out 430 hp and 424 lb-ft of torque.
