I have been daydreaming about two S2000 heads on a single block for a while now. Ariel pulled it off with hyabusa motors. Two turbos on low boost... 600+ hp easy!!! Or 3 heads for a W12 layout!!! Ya I think about cars alot...
Jt Collier Aug 10, 2012
I'm starting to find LS engines over used in super cars. It's kind of annoying to see every car use the same engine. It takes away a lot in my mind to have a super expensive exotic with a relatively cheap, albeit generally tuned, Chevy motor in it.
Devin Babyn Aug 10, 2012
I find Yasser's idea quite interesting. A 4.8 VTEC supercharged would be pretty cool
John Serely Aug 10, 2012
@nick I'll have to check those out. BTW, he did work with lambo on some special projects, then founded his own company that worked with Carbon Fiber, and then founded Pagani
Bobby Bob Aug 10, 2012
@Danny..it's not like there aren't already many many many high performance cars that use Chevy's engines..oh wait.
Nick Schnee Aug 10, 2012
@John watching Drive's videos about super car companies can be quite helpful ;)
Craig Lafey Aug 10, 2012
The LSA is to good for this car.
Paul Dickey Aug 10, 2012
Danny not to hate but that was a pretty unintelligent comment
Tyler Killgore Killgore Aug 10, 2012
Use the 6.2 from Ford with a revised cam or a 5.0 with a roots blower lol
uptown Aug 10, 2012
how about a MOPAR crate engine
John Serely Aug 10, 2012
@nick oh I never knew that. I thought horacio had experience with lambo, helping with composites/carbon fiber
Nick Schnee Aug 10, 2012
@John Pagani uses AMG's engines 'cos Pagani (the guy, not the company) knew some people over at Merc before, who also helped him getting the company started. I don't think they just sell their engines to people.
Brian Johnston Aug 10, 2012
@danny have you ever heard of a zenvo st1. It's way more try like 750,000+. It has the gm 7.0 that's in the corvette and is putting out over 1000bhp. Gm has some of the best v8's in the world don't knock.
Danny Rodriiguez Aug 10, 2012
A chevy engine in a $200,000+ car? Is like selling a luxury car with a Suzuki engine for example in $60,000! Wealthy people look for expensive interiors, engines, etc. Not just luxury and high performance.
John Andrew Morales Aug 10, 2012
@Ryan yea since Bimmer has so much experience building supercars.. Haha. Only thing that comes to mind is providing the v12 for the mclaren f1 but they didn't help mclaren design the supercar, just provided a motor after the Honda deal fell through
Rich Vuchetich Aug 10, 2012
it looks like a 1950's jukebox
Patrick Schalk Aug 10, 2012
2.4 VTEC? Please tell me you're joking.
Yasser Zahabi Aug 10, 2012
I know .. Since Honda is known for its super reliable 2.4 VTEC .. Why don't they just merge 2 together and supercharge that sucker .. It's been don't before
Wyatt Gordon Aug 10, 2012
they should use the engine from the Mercedes CLK Black
Jordan Jackson Aug 10, 2012
They could also start using Ford V8's just to piss off GM, lol
Patrick Schalk Aug 10, 2012
Well if you're speaking in terms of production costs, I would say the LSA is a damn good candidate. A Ferrari motor and all that crap would be nice but expensive as hell to actually do. Personally, I'd go with something NA like an LS7, 6.4 Hemi, etc
Zach Pate Aug 10, 2012
Kind of like Ryan's odea
John Trimborn Aug 10, 2012
I'm with Jay and the 6.2 AMG power plant.
John Serely Aug 10, 2012
@nick pagani uses their V12s. I know pagani is in a different league than spyker, but for the right price, I think merc would be glad
Ryan Haverty Aug 10, 2012
I think they should go for a Bimmer engine! Maybe the M5's and in turn Spyker can collaborate with BMW to design a true Super car!
Nick Schnee Aug 10, 2012
I doubt AMG would give Spyker their V8s / V12s...
John Serely Aug 10, 2012
Haha, "not on speaking terms". That, and they are suing GM for $3 billion
John Serely Aug 10, 2012
Id love to see a higher output of the Aston Martin V8V's V8, the engine sounds amazing. If they want would something besides the, a NA version of the V12 in the S65 and other "65" AMG models would be great. @thibault they are using the r8 v8 already
Thibault Leroy Aug 10, 2012
Or maybe the R8s V8
Thibault Leroy Aug 10, 2012
A ferrari V8 would be awesome
Carlton Sofocusedon Green Aug 10, 2012
3 billion?? Didnt hear bout that WoW
Abraham Mendoza Aug 10, 2012
Yes Jay, that's a brilliant idea!
Reid Huff Aug 10, 2012
It deserves its own article not grouped with other articles.
Reid Huff Aug 10, 2012
Carbuzz needs to have an article about the $3 billion lawsuit Victor Muller and Spyker have filed against GM.
Jordan Jackson Aug 10, 2012
How about an Aston Martin V12? Lol
Jay Kolvenbag Aug 10, 2012
Please take the 6.2 Mercedes V8.
Abraham Mendoza Aug 10, 2012
As much as I love GM, these cars deserve something that sounds high pitched like a Maserati V8.
Pijak Jaiharn Aug 15, 2012
I hate the grill and it looks like the maserati grill
Yasser Zahabi Aug 10, 2012
What is this plaque ??! Looks like this and looks like that ?? And then when you hear apple and Samsung trials about Samsung copying the iPhone .. You hear people saying everything is rectangular .. Perhaps a swap is needed .. And oh .. Looks ace :)
Paul Dickey Aug 10, 2012
No it looks like a spyker
Ashen Fonseka Aug 10, 2012
Looks like the jaguar and a lotus evora mix
John Serely Aug 10, 2012
Looks absolutely stunning, I love spyker
Cameron Duncan Condy Aug 10, 2012
Needs a good heart for a stunning machine.
Austin Boston Aug 10, 2012
the front looks like a mix of an aston martin and the new srt viper, the rear looks like a Melling Hellcat. not the best on looks ... 6/10
Jordan Jackson Aug 10, 2012
Love these cars!
Jay Kolvenbag Aug 10, 2012
Proud to be Dutch!
Abraham Mendoza Aug 10, 2012
Look at it. It's magnificent.
Jt Collier Aug 10, 2012
I have to say, that was a pretty brash comment, a Buick? I find these cars incredibly unique and unlike any other vehicle on the road
Abraham Mendoza Aug 10, 2012
Wow Garret, you really don't like cars do you?
Paul Dickey Aug 10, 2012
Hahaha nice try Garrett
John Andrew Morales Aug 10, 2012
A buick? Haha dam.. Buicks must look a lot different where you're at.
Garrett Serrano Aug 10, 2012
Spyker should go away. Nothing about there design elements signifies change or anything that would someday amount to anything. The car looks like a very overpriced Buick
Scott Westphall Aug 12, 2012
This thing is hideous.
Aaron Crisp Aug 10, 2012
Those aren't hair dryers guys, they're missile launchers, laser shooting machine guns... James Bonds car!!! Haha
Patrick Schalk Aug 10, 2012
I don't think I like this car very much.
Cameron Duncan Condy Aug 10, 2012
Change out wheels and make it jet black.
Ashen Fonseka Aug 10, 2012
Hate the rims and chrome all over it
John Serely Aug 10, 2012
Same here, Zachary, that would be a great competitor the the upcoming Uris and other super SUVs! Also, I love the vents everywhere
John M Weishahn Aug 10, 2012
Hey! Stop looking at this car, it's mine. Go look at that pretty red car over there...
Austin Boston Aug 10, 2012
hahaha hair dryers
Matthew van der Linde Aug 10, 2012
I really hope spiker doesnt fold, their cars are so original and the attention to detail in the whole car is astonishing, the perfomance numbers arnt that impressive but they are really nice cars in the metal
Zachary Maurer Aug 10, 2012
I would be happy with the D8 Peking to Paris, I love that suv :)
Abraham Mendoza Aug 10, 2012
It's a very beautiful car. I like Spyker a lot.
Jake Smerky Myatt Aug 10, 2012
I can see a bit of Aston Martin with hair dryers poking out... don't like it
John M Weishahn Aug 10, 2012
Except for the road to fiscal solvency.
Tashfeen Masood Qayyum Aug 10, 2012
Bankrupt? Thanks to the genetically modified (GM) child of the US Gov't.
Jason Cotugno Aug 10, 2012
which translates to "bankrupt but still cool".
Abraham Mendoza Aug 10, 2012
It's a missile launcher.
Pijak Jaiharn Aug 15, 2012
Very ugly dashboard
Dillon Dixon Aug 10, 2012
That shifter is absolutely magnificent! That alone is a work of art.
Kevin Rehbock Aug 10, 2012
Now this is craftsmanship .
Chris Marshall Ernst Aug 10, 2012
Nothing like the words "exposed gear linkage" to turn a gear head on.
Oscar Galvan Aug 10, 2012
Pagani and spyker use similar styling for their interior
Matt Piccolo Aug 10, 2012
That is a SICK interior
John Serely Aug 10, 2012
@dan I completely agree
Carlton Sofocusedon Green Aug 10, 2012
Ever... I can cosign that. Aeronautical theme executed exemplary
Dan Marino Aug 10, 2012
One of the best looking interiors.......ever
Adam Thomson Jan 31, 2013
Lamborghini steering wheel
Pijak Jaiharn Aug 15, 2012
The steering wheel looks like the r8
omarSV Aug 11, 2012
Yeah its the same steering wheel you'll find in a R8 and Gallardo.
Peter Mark Gacek Aug 10, 2012
I want to say it's an Audi steering wheel. R8?
Matt Korczyk Aug 10, 2012
Camaro steering wheel?
Ken Kirtland Aug 10, 2012
i love this interior, one of my all time favs
John Serely Aug 10, 2012
I would want one just for the interior
Abraham Mendoza Aug 10, 2012
50s diners are still pretty cool.
Zack Hartman Aug 10, 2012
Looks like a 50s diner
Carlton Sofocusedon Green Aug 10, 2012
They do a great job with the touch points of the interior
Eric Anthony Aug 10, 2012
You're tripping.
