Mario CallirgosAug 10, 2012 I have been daydreaming about two S2000 heads on a single block for a while now. Ariel pulled it off with hyabusa motors. Two turbos on low boost... 600+ hp easy!!! Or 3 heads for a W12 layout!!! Ya I think about cars alot...
Jt CollierAug 10, 2012 I'm starting to find LS engines over used in super cars. It's kind of annoying to see every car use the same engine. It takes away a lot in my mind to have a super expensive exotic with a relatively cheap, albeit generally tuned, Chevy motor in it.
Devin BabynAug 10, 2012 I find Yasser's idea quite interesting. A 4.8 VTEC supercharged would be pretty cool
John SerelyAug 10, 2012 @nick I'll have to check those out. BTW, he did work with lambo on some special projects, then founded his own company that worked with Carbon Fiber, and then founded Pagani
Bobby BobAug 10, 2012 @Danny..it's not like there aren't already many many many high performance cars that use Chevy's engines..oh wait.
Nick SchneeAug 10, 2012 @John watching Drive's videos about super car companies can be quite helpful ;)
Craig LafeyAug 10, 2012 The LSA is to good for this car.
Paul DickeyAug 10, 2012 Danny not to hate but that was a pretty unintelligent comment
Tyler Killgore KillgoreAug 10, 2012 Use the 6.2 from Ford with a revised cam or a 5.0 with a roots blower lol
John SerelyAug 10, 2012 @nick oh I never knew that. I thought horacio had experience with lambo, helping with composites/carbon fiber
Nick SchneeAug 10, 2012 @John Pagani uses AMG's engines 'cos Pagani (the guy, not the company) knew some people over at Merc before, who also helped him getting the company started. I don't think they just sell their engines to people.
Brian JohnstonAug 10, 2012 @danny have you ever heard of a zenvo st1. It's way more try like 750,000+. It has the gm 7.0 that's in the corvette and is putting out over 1000bhp. Gm has some of the best v8's in the world don't knock.
Danny RodriiguezAug 10, 2012 A chevy engine in a $200,000+ car?
Is like selling a luxury car with a Suzuki engine for example in $60,000!
Wealthy people look for expensive interiors, engines, etc.
Not just luxury and high performance.
John Andrew MoralesAug 10, 2012 @Ryan yea since Bimmer has so much experience building supercars.. Haha. Only thing that comes to mind is providing the v12 for the mclaren f1 but they didn't help mclaren design the supercar, just provided a motor after the Honda deal fell through
Rich VuchetichAug 10, 2012 it looks like a 1950's jukebox
Patrick SchalkAug 10, 2012 2.4 VTEC? Please tell me you're joking.
Yasser ZahabiAug 10, 2012 I know .. Since Honda is known for its super reliable 2.4 VTEC .. Why don't they just merge 2 together and supercharge that sucker .. It's been don't before
Wyatt GordonAug 10, 2012 they should use the engine from the Mercedes CLK Black
Jordan JacksonAug 10, 2012 They could also start using Ford V8's just to piss off GM, lol
Patrick SchalkAug 10, 2012 Well if you're speaking in terms of production costs, I would say the LSA is a damn good candidate. A Ferrari motor and all that crap would be nice but expensive as hell to actually do. Personally, I'd go with something NA like an LS7, 6.4 Hemi, etc
John TrimbornAug 10, 2012 I'm with Jay and the 6.2 AMG power plant.
John SerelyAug 10, 2012 @nick pagani uses their V12s. I know pagani is in a different league than spyker, but for the right price, I think merc would be glad
Ryan HavertyAug 10, 2012 I think they should go for a Bimmer engine! Maybe the M5's and in turn Spyker can collaborate with BMW to design a true Super car!
Nick SchneeAug 10, 2012 I doubt AMG would give Spyker their V8s / V12s...
John SerelyAug 10, 2012 Haha, "not on speaking terms". That, and they are suing GM for $3 billion
John SerelyAug 10, 2012 Id love to see a higher output of the Aston Martin V8V's V8, the engine sounds amazing. If they want would something besides the, a NA version of the V12 in the S65 and other "65" AMG models would be great.
@thibault they are using the r8 v8 already
Pijak JaiharnAug 15, 2012 I hate the grill and it looks like the maserati grill
Yasser ZahabiAug 10, 2012 What is this plaque ??! Looks like this and looks like that ?? And then when you hear apple and Samsung trials about Samsung copying the iPhone .. You hear people saying everything is rectangular .. Perhaps a swap is needed .. And oh .. Looks ace :)
Austin BostonAug 10, 2012 the front looks like a mix of an aston martin and the new srt viper, the rear looks like a Melling Hellcat. not the best on looks ... 6/10
Jt CollierAug 10, 2012 I have to say, that was a pretty brash comment, a Buick? I find these cars incredibly unique and unlike any other vehicle on the road
Abraham MendozaAug 10, 2012 Wow Garret, you really don't like cars do you?
John Andrew MoralesAug 10, 2012 A buick? Haha dam.. Buicks must look a lot different where you're at.
Garrett SerranoAug 10, 2012 Spyker should go away. Nothing about there design elements signifies change or anything that would someday amount to anything. The car looks like a very overpriced Buick
Ashen FonsekaAug 10, 2012 Hate the rims and chrome all over it
John SerelyAug 10, 2012 Same here, Zachary, that would be a great competitor the the upcoming Uris and other super SUVs! Also, I love the vents everywhere
John M WeishahnAug 10, 2012 Hey! Stop looking at this car, it's mine. Go look at that pretty red car over there...
Matthew van der LindeAug 10, 2012 I really hope spiker doesnt fold, their cars are so original and the attention to detail in the whole car is astonishing, the perfomance numbers arnt that impressive but they are really nice cars in the metal
Zachary MaurerAug 10, 2012 I would be happy with the D8 Peking to Paris, I love that suv :)
Abraham MendozaAug 10, 2012 It's a very beautiful car. I like Spyker a lot.
Jake Smerky MyattAug 10, 2012 I can see a bit of Aston Martin with hair dryers poking out... don't like it
