Maybe he liked the way they looked
Abraham Mendoza Aug 28, 2012
ok, why was it a good idea to put Z06 inductions on a convertible vette? You're not fooling anybody man.
Description: On the other hand, the C5 Corvette, built from 1997 to 2004, packs a 5.7-liter V8 with 350 horsepower to accelerate from 0-60mph in 4.7 seconds. The drop-top Vette takes on the motorized skateboard in...

Yes, these vettes are a bit ugly. Although my friend has the C6 model. With those not only kids give you compliments but adults also.
Colby Church Aug 29, 2012
Even little kids point at my car and compliment it, and everyone knows children tell the truth, no matter how unpleasant it is. Haha. But they have good taste in cars apparently.
Colby Church Aug 29, 2012
@Connor Dude, you have awful taste. If you've ever seen them in person, it's hard to say that low, wide, sleek design is "Ugly". I have an 02 and I get like 10 compliments a day on average when I go out. And I can launch mine better than this guy.
codymustang Aug 29, 2012
lol pointless. i can out run that vette in a few feet.
Connor Scanlon Aug 29, 2012
I mean it's cool the board can do that but it was such a short race no duh it's gonna win
Lawrence Spicer Aug 28, 2012
It would be cool to see it race a Subaru ...no doubt the 4 electric motors at the corners make that skateboard pretty quick
Thibault Leroy Aug 28, 2012
Dude its a 4.5 hp electric motor vs a 300+hp V8 its testing the things acceleration not a 1/4 mile man
Trent Bourgeois Aug 28, 2012
It was sooooo close!
Loreta Herrera Aug 28, 2012
Gnarboard is faster than corvette, Jajaj amazing
Christian De Prisco Aug 28, 2012
I am faster than a corvette running the 1/64 mile
Ethan Spain Aug 28, 2012
I like 1/4 mile drag races, 1/8 mile drag races arent bad either, and 1/16 mile drag races are a litttle entertaining.....but a 1/64 mile one? Does it really count?
Dylan Bruder Aug 28, 2012
Yeah that's what it seems like the credits meant vette guys are always nice it seems lol
Andrew Hubbard Aug 28, 2012
Looks like fun, the guy in the Vette seems like they found him and he volunteered. Nice guy.
Description: Just for good measure, we've also included a second video of a Corvette ZR1 dragging a Nissan GT-R. Of course these aren't your run-of-the-mill, stock supercars: the ZR1 has been remapped, r...

570 hp with all that done to it huh? So stalk hp on the zr1 is 638, something is not right.
Andre Bigueur Aug 31, 2012
That being said I think I would have a smile on my face driving either car. I'll take one of each please! Maybe two just incase I crash one. Haha. Too much of a car guy not to post. That and my girl is mad at me so I get no loving tonite, I'm bored..
Andre Bigueur Aug 31, 2012
After 1 or 2 races. Btw formula 1 uses 2.4 liter v8s. Short strokes r the reason they can rev that high. Anyways back to corvette vs gtr, personally the better track car would be the gtr, but the car I'd have is the zr1 because its more fun to drive!
Andre Bigueur Aug 31, 2012
Because they r considerably lightweight, but the wear and tear on these engines can deminish the power pretty quick if they r pushed hard all the time. For the guy that talk about NHRA, those engines r highly, highly modified and r usually destroyed
Andre Bigueur Aug 31, 2012
Corvette uses a mono-leafspring suspension set up, while the gtr has a ridiculous amount of different suspension setups (because it's like a playstation) which is better for the track if u set it up just right (have fun). Btw pushrod engines r great
Andre Bigueur Aug 31, 2012
Make sure u do ur research before mouthing off like that. Though the corvette may be lighter it uses Fiberglas while the gtr uses more advanced materials like carbon fiber which leads to the conclusion it was built with higher quality in mind. Also
Andre Bigueur Aug 31, 2012
Powerbands and torque curves don't really know much because the engine might have better results but if the rest of the drivetrain can't put the power to the road then they don't mean shit. Also a NA v8 can sometimes have the same as a blown v6 so
Andre Bigueur Aug 31, 2012
Just to clear things up 0 to 60: gtr 3.1, zr1 3.4. No matter how much I prefer three pedals the gtr has a better trans. It's not an auto because of the lack of a torque converter and shifts quicker than humanly possible. You guys keep talking about
Justin Routh Aug 30, 2012
@Miguel i would have been there to back you up against them the entire time but i missed it haha dont really matter though the point has been proven
Ben Knorr Aug 29, 2012
who needs a dualclutch when u can shift as good as that dude! was rowin that tr6060 like nobody's business!
Stephen Tyler Learn Aug 29, 2012
I will never understand how you guys care enough to constantly check car buzz and have an argument
Ben Norton Aug 29, 2012
I can't believe how long that argument went on for... not many people here actually know how the simple things work, but there are still a few
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
s etc. Take a look at the Venom GT pushing out 1,200HP (LS7) from two little turbo's.
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
@Erich they're keeping OHV engines for more than just heritage, for one they're a lot lighter than most OHC motors, they tend to have more torque due to higher displacement, they're very compact, They have a better center of gravity then boxer engine
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
Torque and power band play a huge role in power delivery. Although they make similar HP, the LS9 delivers it flat and smooth to redline.
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
@Justin finally someone to back me up! I think the LS7 weighs closer to 380 lbs tho.
Justin Routh Aug 29, 2012
GTR weighs 608lbs ;) ohv have their advantages
Justin Routh Aug 29, 2012
@Erich i think its funny you believe gm is only using pushrod engines cuz of their past. Maybe its because they like torque and ohv engines are smaller. Oh and fun fact the LS7 in the Z06 weighs 458lbs the LS9 in the ZR1 530lbs. But the vr38 from the
Justin Routh Aug 29, 2012
Well they still clearly never showed an understanding of the difference in the powerband of a big pushrod v8 compared to a dohc v6. Probably why they said it could deliver the power the same haha that part was funny
John Serely Aug 29, 2012
@Mr. Pavel: hell yea! 997TTS FTW, IMO.
Kleymenov Pavel Aug 29, 2012
911 would beat both of those with just H6. Believe me brothers.
Ron Spear Aug 29, 2012
There is no way the GTR is anywhere near stock the zr1 comes stock 630ish hp and is way lighter a 15hp difference should not cause that much beat down
Pablo Herasme Aug 29, 2012
Who the hell is going to drive 8,000hp down a street.
Colby Church Aug 29, 2012
@Connor Lets see a V6 get built to 8000hp. A V8 can be built that high. Look up NHRA drag engines. That's all the proof I need that V8s are better. Because it is capable of that type of power, and a V6 is not. Therefore V8 is a better platform.
John Serely Aug 29, 2012
Damn!!! I missed another argument....oh well, as long as Connor and Matt stays on CarBuzz there will always be another one soon!
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
*younger than me
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
but it's true. Wisdom can also be past on to younger kids/teenagers like myself I was past on a lot of wisdom from my grandfather and I think I have more than the average 17 year old.
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
I'm guessing you're around 14-16 years old so you can't be that much older than me, and that's so not true I know 20 year olds and 30 year olds that are more immature than I. Even it may not look like it right now because of how immature I'm acting
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
Hmm iz tat rite?? Tel me more!
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
Maturity doesn't come with age bud.
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
Haha I think we should stop already... If tats ok wit u!!!????
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
*Try again, because that made no sense.
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
You never asked me how I was, but since you're asking now I'm 17.
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
@Connor Vise versa.
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
@Connor You and Matt ganged up on me earlier and that didn't seem to be a problem.
Patrick Schalk Aug 29, 2012
I love you Harrison
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
@Connor If you want to get real technical you can't start a sentence with and...
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
Threat? It was more of a joke but if you feel threatened I'm sorry! Lol
Harrison Armstrong Aug 29, 2012
Would you guys seriously quit bickering? You all sound extremely immature correcting each others grammar as an attempt to "one up" the other. How about you guys decide to all be men here are stop this futile argument.
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
As I recall,"Fine just to prove that I'm above your stupidity I'm going to stop commenting!" Wow... That collapsed on it self didn't it?
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
@Connor but I wasn't the one calling people dumb and idiot, so back off before you hurt yourself.
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
Ish is another way of saying sh*t.
Harrison Armstrong Aug 29, 2012
Jeez guys... 181 comments of pure rage towards each other. Really? The CarBuzz community doesn't need that around here.
Matt Piccolo Aug 29, 2012
@ Miguel, I really couldn't care less... And that "ish?"
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
@Matt Well if you're going to call someone stupid you might as well check if your spelling is correct right? @Patrick hahaha that ish was to funny!
Patrick Schalk Aug 29, 2012
So it's already your 47th birthday! Happy birthday Matt!
Matt Piccolo Aug 29, 2012
Ok it's 12:30 in the morning, do u think I really care?
Matt Piccolo Aug 29, 2012
Ur so f**king dumb
Patrick Schalk Aug 29, 2012
I bet Matt will be 47 tomorrow.
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
Who's driving? I hope it's not you because that's illegal!
Matt Piccolo Aug 29, 2012
Ahah ur funny, no I have to pick up my parents from the airport @ 7:20 and it's an hour drive...
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
What 20 year old spells guess like this? Geuss. hmm... none come to mind!
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
Now that pat brings it up I do recall that being said. Why do have to wake up 6 is it you first day of high school or something?
Matt Piccolo Aug 29, 2012
And I geuss u can keep making up random shit too
Patrick Schalk Aug 29, 2012
You said you were 15 and I gave you crap about not even being able to drive. It's ok though. You can just keep lying I guess
Matt Piccolo Aug 29, 2012
"I'm not gunna" srry and last time i checked, I'm pretty sure I wasn't 15 last year but whatever, I'm not going to get into another 2 and a half hour argument over how old I am with a bunch of idiots I can talk to though an app on my phone, so night!
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
@Patrick I think I recall that as well.
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
A lot of what I said probably didn't even make sense it happens a lot when I get frustrated I would love to have this argument face to face tho I bet half the insults wouldn't of been said lol!
Matt Piccolo Aug 29, 2012
@ Miguel, I'm gunna admit to something that isn't true to gtfo lol and since when was I 15 last year?
Patrick Schalk Aug 29, 2012
Matt you were 15 last year so unless you age like a dog I don't think you are 20.
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
@Matt just admit it lol.
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
@Connor please no one won this pointless and stupid argument. I'm even saying that because we're both wrong in some cases and if you're to stubborn and narrow-minded to see that, well then that's something you have to get over.
Matt Piccolo Aug 29, 2012
@ Miguel, I was on another article dumbass, I was waiting for u to comment so I went on the gtr article, like honestly, stop with ur stupid assumptions... And anyways, I have to go, I have to b up @ 6 tomorrow and its just past 12 here so I gtg
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
@Matt took you long enough so how was google.
Matt Piccolo Aug 29, 2012
@ Miguel, 4, intake, compression, power and exhaust
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
No one is going to win this argument, I'll tell you why because cats have 9 lives!
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
Connor you had something better to do than you be so focused on trying to win this pointless and stupid argument.
Patrick Schalk Aug 28, 2012
Haha there is an ungodly amount of stupidity on this page. Carry on.
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
@Matt just ok then answer this question how many strokes are there in a piston engine?
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
Like if i took it in one way, and I remember it like that, there's a good chance it'll come out like that when I type it out
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
not be happening right now. Stop wasting your time.
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
Connor what you just said collapsed on it self wtf are you talking about we've arguing for the past 2 hour back and forth it sure look like your face was buried on your phone. You're not fooling anyone if you knew your shit that this argument would
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
@ Miguel, so u can remember it was worded like that from google, and u assume other people couldn't, maybe I read it there before too , and like u i remembered it worded that way so that's The way I wrote it up? U can't just assume random crap!
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
It took you exactly 12 minutes to answer my question dude please you must take me for dumbass or something.
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
Haha Matt you got caught and you're still to stubborn to admit it.
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
@Connor haha keep telling yourself that bud.
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
@ Miguel, So u assume I'm taking it from google bec of the spelling, wow good reasoning, dumbass! Lmfao
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
@Matt are you kidding me why don't watch the damn video for yourself then come back to me.
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
@Conner google huh? You took way to long to answer my question that's how I know... This was pointless haha. Well at least you guys learned something new.
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
@ Miguel, we're arguing about 2 diff things (me and Connor, andfrankly, I'm not paying so much attention to urs and Connors, but I know I'm winning mine... If the gtr's lap was dry, it would have won, plain and simple, and u know that!
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
@Matt copy and pasting on google was helpful huh? Do you, how I know it was google because I've read that before and you're so dumb that you didn't at least reword it because I know you don't spell like that.
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
my question to you as well. You guys share the same logic so of corse you guys feel as if you're winning this argument but ask yourself this are you really winning?
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
@ Miguel, I'm not looking at vids, I'm looking at we sights that List all the official times and dates
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
@Connor where did I change the subject? We're just finishing were we left off a few comments ago, but nice way of ducking my question! If anything I'm just going back to our first argument before Matt interrupted us. Matt I would like you to answer
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
@miguel, DOHC= 2 camshafts SOHC= 1 camshaft an both are located in the cylinder head while in an OHV the camshaft is located in the cylinder block, and it uses a rod and rocker arms to open and close the intake and exhaust vales...
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
@Connor I answered your question so now your turn to answer mine, it should be easy for you considering you know so much about engines
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
No Matt I just finish watching video and I clearly Said 2012 NISSAN GT-R, you might want to look again!
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
No I haven't, but I've seen dino's on both cars stock and that is enough say that GT-R V6 runs like a V8 lol hahaha do you know how stupid you guys sound say a 3.8liter TT V6 runs like a 6.2Liter Pushrod SC V8? That alone is making me not want to arg
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
It even says @ 7:24 for then 2011, it was done in oct 2010, which is when the 2011 would have just been released...
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
@Matt here's a quick question for you what's the deference between DOHC, OHV, SOHC, and a Wankle engine?
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
Uh no, that's the 2011, 2012 was @ 7:21
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
@Matt were did you get 7:21? The 2012 GT-R's time is 7:24 you might want to check again...
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
@ Connor, ikr lol
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
And how many strokes does a piston engine have?
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
*fool me. I know you don't the difference because if you did this argument wouldn't be happening right now. The only difference that you know is that the Vette two more cylinders than the GT-R, and by the way if you know so much what is a cylinder?
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
@ Miguel, srry for butting into ur argument with Connor, but do u know this from experience, have u driven a gtr? How do u know it doesn't deliver power as well... with all the tech the gtr has, I think u'd b surprised!
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
(oh and yea inwas being sarcastic when I said fab math skills, but when u can't do math like 7:21-3 = 7:18, i didn't know if u would catch on)
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
Because Connor they DON'T deliver power the same what don't you get? For one the Vette's engine is 2.4 liters bigger than the GT-R's secondly the Vette's engine is not your everyday V8 it happens to be a Pushrod Engine. Connor you don't fool I know
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
@ Connor no lol... And Miguel, 7:21-3=7:18... 7:18 is lower than 7:19 dumbass, and u said I was the one that could pass for a 16 year old, mean while with ur fab math skills u could pass for a second grader
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
Matt 3 seconds or not the Vette is still faster I don't get your point?
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
W16's because I'm not going to be here all night teaching you the differences. And once you're done with that come back to me so we can have an educated argument because right now to be quite frank you're making yourself look like an ass!
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
Now that u know I meant that, retread my posts... I really don't feel like retyping them all
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
Ok, u obviously just scanned my other posts, I'm talkin bout if the gtr's lap time was done dry as well, it would beat the zr1 bec we all know that on a 7 minute track, the difference between a dry and wet lap would b AT THE ABSOLUTE LEAST 2-3 secs
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
@Connor no I haven't I never the GT-R's engine has a problem delivering the power and by modern technology wtf are you talking about? Connor I suggest you read up the differences between I4's, H4's, H6's, I6's, V6's, V8's, V10's, V12's, W12's, and
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
@ Miguel, what? I meant if the gtr's lap time was done dry, not the zr1's wet?
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
*In what they were made for
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
Faster on pavement the RamRunner is faster where it counts and where they were both made for.
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
@Matt The Corvette is still faster for what they were made for so I'm not worried about wet lap times lol! That's like saying the RamRunner is faster than the Raptor on dirt, and some say,"I bet the Raptor is faster on pavement!" who cares if it's
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
Different every engine puts out power and torque at different RPM's hence the power band. The corvette's V8 delivers power flat and smooth due to it's big displacement (it works less).
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
When the car was tested, I know ur gunna keep saying its irrelevant, hasn't been done etc. but we all know what the outcome would b... So whatever think whatever u want, we all know what would happen, goodnight ;)
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
I'm not biased towards any car the reason I argued with you is because you said why would you need a V8 when you can the same power from a V6. Which is true you can but power delivery, acceleration, and Torque (depending on displacement size) is
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
@ Miguel, and how'd u get that ending?Last we know, the gtr is a Tiny bit slower in the rain, so u have no proof its quicker on dry pavement... But anyways, I know, and u know, even though U won't admit it, the gtr would b quicker if it was dry out
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
And I'm sorry but if ur car can't even handle rain, that stupid... Snow is another story... What if u go to the track for the day and it rains or the tracks wet? R u just gunna drive home... Cuz I'll stay with my gtr and have fun in the rain lol
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
@Matt your argument is pointless and stupid, you keep jumping from one argument to another. So let's end it here either way the Corvette is faster in what these two car were made for, dry pavement race tracks.
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
@ Miguel, I've seen gtr's in the rain! And I've seen 1 in the snow... I wouldn't take it in the snow but u don't know what the owners use them for, so u can't say people don't do it!
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
@ Paul, no joke, thats what my friend did and when i drove it home for him, it was just as good as any fwd car I've driven in the snow xD
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
@Matt why the hell do you have a sports car out in the snow or rain? You act people buy these cars for DD.
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
@Connor no I'm not pisses that the Corvette lost because for one they were both tuned so anything goes and secondly I think the GT-R is a great car but I hate fanboy's like you guys that kill it for everyone else.
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
@ Miguel, and the gtr was? It CAN bec it's awd but it wast built FOR the wet... ((And wow, can't handle snow or rain, nother reason to take the gtr)) and u KNOW it would get a faster lap time... It hasn't happened yet but u KNOW it would
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
@Connor touché, only because I'm not afraid of admitting I'm wrong.
Paul Pickard Aug 28, 2012
Sand bags and low revs check! That is funny.
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
And I would like to say, no I didn't do that with my own car, I would never drive a sports car in the winter unless it was awd, (even then idk) but my friend did and one day I had to drive him home cuz he sprained his ankle and couldn't drive
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
@ Paul, I think Miguel was referring to rwd vs fwd which in that case, fwd is the winner... But if u throw snow tires on, sand bags in the trunk over the axle, and keep the revs low, U can survive wit rwd... And this is coming from a Canadian
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
@Matt how is Irrelevant or how isn't it irrelevant? For one it never happened so there is no argument there, secondly the corvette wasn't meant to race in wet conditions so that why it's irrelevant.
Paul Pickard Aug 28, 2012
Gotta throw it out there that fwd is awful in the snow. AWD is so much safer and easier to drive.
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
@ Miguel, u won't admit it, but u know, unless ur an idiot, that on a 7 minute track, the fact that it's wet would shave AT least 2-3 seconds off a time. U can try to say oh, but it's irrelevant. But i know u know it's true, u just won't admit it!
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
@Connor insulting me because you feel defeated huh? Don't worry it's natural.
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
@ connor, was that @ me or him?
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
Omfg I hate f**king auto correct, ""year old"" ( I have had a very bad day with txting too, u should have see a few of the things autocorrect did lol )
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
Ok 1, how isn't it, 2 did u just get ur 5 yearned sister to type that, 3, ditto
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
Well I didn't beat the ZR1 so that argument is irrelevant. You could fooled me, cause you sure acted like 16 year old.
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
Things, omg I'm hatting autocorrect today!!!!!
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
Miguel, yes but there's two thinks between cheap flimsy plastic, and high quality, sturdy plastic
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
Sorry u said I'm pretty sure that's everyone over 16 that thinks that
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
@ Miguel, I dout the zr1 could pull a time under 7:30 in wet conditions, and my point is if it wasn't wet, it most likely would have beaten the zr1, and go down a while, u had a post that said, that's only propel 16 and older o something like that!
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
@Connor news flash every car uses plastic of some sort dumbass!
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
@Connor when did I ever say I wanted it to be FWD? @Matt I don't recall asking how old you were going to be dumbass...
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
@Matt o cool...the Corvette is STILL faster!
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
Oh and I just turned 20 at the end of July, dumbass
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
@ Miguel, the time of 7:24 is the 2011 gtr and that is in wet conditions, the 2012 was tested and got 7:21 and that was also in WET conditions, Good effort though
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
@Connor thanks for the good laugh!
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
@Connor like I stated before Powerband and Torque! You obviously don't know what those two are huh?
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
@Connor at least Porsche offers a 6speed manual.
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
@Conner your lack of knowledge about engines is humorous, what makes it funnier is you actually think you what you're talking about.
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
@Kevin the ZR1 accelerates way faster than the GT-R STOCK dumbass! AWD doesn't help acceleration, only launch.
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
@Dylan you're damn right! Leave the AWD and Dual Clutch Automatics to the posers.
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
Connor I have two word for you...Torque and Powerband! Just to throw it out there 2012 Corvette ZR1 7:19 2012 GT-R R35 7:24 (nurburgring lap times)
Dylan Bruder Aug 28, 2012
Cylinder count equates to engine smoothness too there's more to it than just power and numbers and awd vette? No way that's sacrilege to any vette fan v8 rwd is the way to keep it
Paul Pickard Aug 28, 2012
The gtr is definitely a bad ass machine. But I've gone for a ride in a stock ZR1 and that car is amazing in every way. It certainly is more than American plastic trash. Any car guy sees hears and rides in one can't say anything bad about it.
Kevin Hinkle Aug 28, 2012
Yea the 0-60 time is better than the shitty vette even though it has less horsepower... Maybe if Chevy was actually smart try would make it AWD so it dosent have shitty acceleration numbers compared to the gtr
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
anything goes, but stock for stock the GT-R doesn't hold a candle to ZR1!
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
@Connor yes because the size of you penis determines which car you choose. So by your logic a guy that buys a 16 cylinder Bugatti has a micro penis? My last comment was just to give Matt a bad time so stay out of it. These cars are both tuned so
Ryan Patrick Clauson Aug 28, 2012
For once can't anyone agree both cars are badass? Hell I'd take either one
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
@Matt I'm sure everyone that's older than 16 years thinks like that.
Miguel Jimenez Aug 28, 2012
Horsepower is measured at the engine's fly wheel, torque is measured at the crank, the reason it looses power at the wheels is due to heat and weight.
Matt Piccolo Aug 28, 2012
@ Jesse, maybe for u! I can garentee not everyone thinks that! And gtr ftw <3
Patrick Schalk Aug 28, 2012
Tyler I'm not sure. There's usually a 15-20% power loss through the drivetrain. I'm sure there's a dyno vid of a stock one on YT
Jesse Andersen Aug 28, 2012
Sure it's faster but it comes down to being a man. We like 2 doors, 2 seats, 8 cylinders and superchargers from America or Europe. Not four seat, 6 cylinders, turbo'd Japanese cars.
Thibault Leroy Aug 28, 2012
@Adam yet it got beat in every race.... You sound like a butthurt corvette fanboy XD
Abraham Mendoza Aug 28, 2012
@Daniel, true but if you could afford these cars chances are you already have another car.
Yasser Abdelhalim Aug 28, 2012
They did not detune the ZR1 horsepower at the crank and to the wheels are different numbers, read the page above again.
Daniel Eads Aug 28, 2012
@Abraham, yes but the gtr has two more seats and a proper trunk.
Abraham Mendoza Aug 28, 2012
I'd like a car that sounds good. I won't be racing all the time, but I'll hear the engine everyday.
Justin Routh Aug 28, 2012
I dont care who won the mans transmission and the v8 decided it for me
Justin Routh Aug 28, 2012
Read the comments John....
John Jenkins Aug 28, 2012
so they detuned a zr1? why not just but a zo6
Tyler Tarbox Aug 28, 2012
@Patrick. Do you know how much horsepower it makes at the wheels?
Brady Fereday Aug 28, 2012
I want that GTR racing glove makes you go fast hahahahah xD
Patrick Schalk Aug 28, 2012
638 at the crank. Wheel horsepower and crank horsepower are two different things.
Tyler Tarbox Aug 28, 2012
@Mike. It does. 638 to be exact.
Mike Carbaugh Aug 28, 2012
I thought the ZR 1 stock had over 600 hp
Dan J Tresham Aug 28, 2012
The ZR1 got crushed in every gear. So the heavy weight jap can still crush Americas best - with ease.
Jeremy Tyler Aug 28, 2012
Wow the guy has no clue how to drive the ZR1. He doesn't even downshift. Start in a lower gear like third you damn ass. I can clearly see he's not even trying to race. Such a good car wasted on a punk who doesn't know how to drive.
Mike Ulickey Aug 28, 2012
Quick gtr. But the sound of the zr1 is oh so good!
Zachary Crowley Aug 28, 2012
Stop tuning every drag -_- stock please
Nate Barton Mar 04, 2013
I'm not suprised
Wyatt Gordon Aug 29, 2012
as a skateboarder, I can say I definately say I dont like this. It's like an electric car, but worse.
Matt Piccolo Aug 29, 2012
Ahah didn't think u'd actually post a comment xD
Wyatt Gordon Aug 29, 2012
I guess I'm proving your guys' point here, as I'm about to say I completely forgot about the R390...
Maria Garcia Aug 29, 2012
@Matt, the R35 is a great car no doubt about that, but I much rather prefer a R33. Especially in Nismo 400R variant. (:
Maria Garcia Aug 29, 2012
Maybe the R390 is overlooked due to the fact that there's only like two actual road legal ones, but you guys are all right. It's underrated and overlooked all the time. In fact most people don't even know what a R390 is.
Matt Piccolo Aug 29, 2012
@ Miguel, u r right, the r390 is always overlooked, and r35>r34 for me
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
@Erich I know what the R390 is one of the most if not the most forgotten Supercar out there. unfairly underrated and over looked!
Miguel Jimenez Aug 29, 2012
@Eric I agree R34>R35
Eric Anthony Aug 29, 2012
This really is ugly, can't compare to tha 34 & generations before
Matt Piccolo Aug 29, 2012
Oh srry Erich, u went over to the right 1 too many, I think u meant to post that second comment on the photo to the left of this one ;)
Walker Carroll Aug 28, 2012
Thank you Matt. Somebody who understands the true magnificence of this ar
