ABT Tunes Volkswagen Beetle TDI
German tuners extract more muscle from diesel Beetle.
Specializing in modifying Volkswagen Group products, ABT Sportsline has introduced its take on the new Beetle.
Maintaining its fuel efficiency, ABT boosted the power on the new bug's 2.0-liter turbo diesel up from 140 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque to 170 hp and 272 lb-ft. The result is a 0-62 mph sprint time of 8.8 seconds, an improvement of 0.6 seconds over the stock Beetle. Further enhancements include an aero kit, oval exhausts, brows for the head and tail lights and custom suspension and brakes.
