McChip DKR Tunes Diesel Panamera

Even the diesel version of Porsche’s four-door sedan deserves some love, and McChip DKR has given it a power boost and new rims.

German tuner McChip DKR has introduced an upgrade program for the diesel variant of the Porsche Panamera, made up of an ECU remap, suspension modifications and new wheels. Designed specifically for the 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine in the four-door from Stuttgart, the new software program optimizes the turbocharger's boost pressure, timing, and fuel injection to generate and send more power to the rear wheels. As a result, output has respectably increased from 250 to 285 horsepower

The power boost enablies the modified diesel Panamera to accelerate from 0-62 mph in 6.3 seconds and hit a top speed of 154 mph. Torque remains constant at 406 lb-ft, available from as low as 1,850 rpm.

With the engine tune done and dusted, DKR got to work on installing an upgraded suspension with new H&R components that lower the center of gravity by 30mm. Completing the tuning package is a set of new 22-inch three-piece alloys wrapped in Dunlop Sport Maxx GT performance tires.
