Matt PiccoloAug 10, 2012 @wmg... Srry maybe the 6 is the most fun but this would b a close second, read ANY review/comparison.... My mom owned 2 accords (I got to drive only 1) and for a 4 door sedan, that thing was a blast with its v6!
Wmg ChinchillaAug 09, 2012 @matt i strongly disagree. In terms of driving dynamics, this is pretty much middle of the pack for a fwd sedan. If you want sporty fwd, Mazda is king. The Kia optima is undoubtly sportier/better looking, then again beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Matt PiccoloAug 09, 2012 @ Timothy, this looks better than ur freaken optima lol... And this, FOR A FWD SEDAN, is a about as fun and sporty as it gets (driving wise!)
Ray LiuAug 09, 2012 Not bad even it's boring it'll sell tons Honda is playing safe it wants profits not purely perfect products
Christian De PriscoAug 09, 2012 Well it won't force the previous gen out of style like bmw3series at least
Timothy HookerAug 09, 2012 not griping cause its not sporty...just saying that it looks 1990s. my Kia optima isn't sporty but it sure looks good and fresh
Vincent R ButlerAug 09, 2012 Like I said if its Not RWD, AWD. In ur eyes it's a Piece of shit car.
Vincent R ButlerAug 09, 2012 Enough? When was it ever. It's probably the most Reliable cars ever built. U can drive the shit out of it everyday, and guess what it will start up the next day. Im sure after watching A gay movie called fast furious. u all want fast cars
Vincent R ButlerAug 09, 2012 Strategy is not working?, last Time I check Honda sells couple Hundred THOUSAND of accord/civics . It's a daily Driver with great gas mileage. It's so ridiculous reading most of ur comments posted here. Because its not RWD, or AWD. Or it not sporty
Joe ScarboroughAug 09, 2012 What gets me is not that this is a mere refresh, but that Honda is trying to say it's a radical and innovative departure from what they have been putting out in the past!
Wmg ChinchillaAug 09, 2012 Although one can consider it an improvment this new design is uninteresting, bland and boring. Honda, you used to be so genuinely cool. Why did you sell out to try to be the auto company for the masses? Your strategy is not working. Please bring your old swagger back. - Will
Keegan MathurAug 09, 2012 It's A Great Car, they seem to keep improving it every year!
Michael BichayAug 09, 2012 What ppl don't get is that automakers can make a badass car if they wanted to but they don't have to bcus a brand like Honda know ppl will still buy it just bcus it's an accord. plus they have to save designs for the future
Scott LenahanAug 09, 2012 A "reliability" level doesn't make a great car to me.. I'd rather have a car that always had issues rather than a bland boring A-Bmobile..
Matt PiccoloAug 09, 2012 In all honesty, it sounds like a v8 when it's idling, and this is coming from a v4 turbo
Matt PiccoloAug 09, 2012 Might b DONE! And this is after 180,000km
Matt PiccoloAug 09, 2012 @ Connor, there's a reason people don't like the passat, my mom has one, and she's been having problems lately, and her normal mechanic said he doesn't want to touch the thing anymore, and made her take it the vw dealer... He said he thinks the engin
Barry StewartAug 09, 2012 @Tom this may not be considered "affordable" for the proletariat... Especially those with bad credit...
Colby ChurchAug 09, 2012 They could've changed the wheels though, they've been using that same design for years. Pretty boring now.
Kyle SmithAug 09, 2012 We get so many supercar articles on here that when a normal car (that the 99% can afford) comes up we bash its looks because it doesn't have a spoiler, flared wheel arches, lowered stance and sweeping body lines. I'd give this design an 8/10.
Jared MillsteadAug 09, 2012 looks much better then the bug-eyed accord we have now.
John RiganoAug 09, 2012 Honda and Toyota screwed up there Accord and Camry but if I had to decide the accord looks a tad better
Scott WestphallAug 09, 2012 There used to be a time that Honda made the most interesting and fun affordable sedans in the business.
Those days are LONG gone. This is more boring than a Camry.
Ken LouiseAug 09, 2012 Can't comment about anything about the car except for its design. And honestly, it's a bad effort on Honda's part in designing this car. It's no different from its predecessor, it looks bland and hopeless when compared to its rivals.
Bryan Wesly PascualAug 09, 2012 Just the left side of the pic w/o "H" badge, looks like GS 350
Matt GreenleeAug 09, 2012 all i want in a car is decent get-up, and rwd. thats all I ask. too hard? i think not, hell, id even be ok with awd, but never front. lets all go buy a bmw instead!
Zaire WilkinsAug 09, 2012 ehhh the new fusion isnt so hot nor the 13 mazada 6 to me anymore the rims and body kit makes it look bad
Walter Alexander ThomasAug 09, 2012 I agree. Reliability is found just about anywhere now days. Honda and Toyota is falling behind big time and especially with design. This car still looks like the 2008-2012 models and they even suck. The coupe was ok but the new fusion look better
Timothy HookerAug 08, 2012 who cares about dependability! Ferrari's catch on fire all the time and I'd still give my left nut for one. on here we want fun cars and that's why all our (true buzz fans) say this car sux
Justin BrestAug 08, 2012 imho they need a "si" version of the accord. A turbo or a beefed up v6 would be pretty cool, especially seeing that sport/muscle sedans have really taken off the last few years.
Justin BrestAug 08, 2012 I didn't proof read at all... *to the people posting your opinions about other opinions...
Justin BrestAug 08, 2012 To the other people posting your opinions other peoples opinions. I haven't heard anyone say they aren't a quality car or that its bad looking... just that its boring. It has boring performance and boring looks. This is what "non" car people buy. Its just way to practical for most of us "gear heads" to even consider buying! lol
Wyatt GordonAug 08, 2012 WOOOW! it looks exactly the same as it always has! thats amazing! (not hatin on Honda, I like their bikes, but still).
Brent CairnsAug 08, 2012 wow, 75 percent of these people leaving comments do not like Honda's at all, so they are going negative comments, and they know nothing on designing a quality car
Matt GreenleeAug 08, 2012 hondas and toyotas are the worst car makers out there beacuse their cars are the worst thing a car can be; boring. Once they try rwd, then we can talk. Ill stick with my M5 for now, thanks.
Janak SolankiAug 08, 2012 Geez looks the same as the one it replaces.
John P JerseAug 08, 2012 Wow, if Honda would just take the below advice they just might make it on the ten best selling car list. Oh wait, they did 3 times, guess Honda might just know more about making cars then the below people.
Tim PreisingerAug 08, 2012 It's not bad looking... Just as other have said, boring.
Jon AshleyAug 08, 2012 not just looks, but how it is to drive. I wouldn't ever call it sporty honestly. And yes, I've driven a 2011 accord 4 cylinder.
Joe TalericoAug 08, 2012 I really want to like Hondas, but like most on here, I find this latest design disappointing and boring.
Swarun KulasekaranAug 08, 2012 If Honda is shooting for reliability here, I will definitely buy one!! I have a '96 accord that has been running for nearly 16 years without any major problems!! If this new accord has good reliability, I don't care about good looking competition
Zachary MaurerAug 08, 2012 @miguel, Ikr, let him has his fun
Miguel JimenezAug 08, 2012 Matt if this had a Chevy badge or Dodge badge...
John SerelyAug 08, 2012 ZZZ...compared to its competitors, this looks as bland as a cardboard box...much rated have an optima or a WRX hatchback, or a passat IF I had to buy a new competitor to this for the $, which I wouldn't lol
Abraham MendozaAug 08, 2012 You know, this is probably a base model. I think it looks pretty good. Not crazy, just...good.
Timothy HookerAug 08, 2012 wow this is sooooo boring. they need to take some pointers from Kia and copy a nice car like BMW or Audi
Austin SullivanAug 08, 2012 Too bad the Camry sucks. This is way better than a Camry in my opinion.
Joe ScarboroughAug 08, 2012 Atleast you can tell the changes in the newer Camry, this just seems like laziness on Honda's part.
Sean ClarkAug 08, 2012 Still looks ugly and boring!
Jonathan St-PierreAug 08, 2012 Honda has lost his passion. It looks like Hondas are designed by engineers who don't really likes cars, sitting on brown desks with no windows around and no pictures of supercars on their walls...
They should let design their cars by designers, not engineers!
Hyundai and many other car makers makes more beautiful cars than them today!
Ryan Patrick ClausonAug 08, 2012 Like Honda and Toyota don't like to do any radical changes to their top selling cars, which is why these cars are so boring and nothing special.
Xavier MangubatAug 08, 2012 3 things I don't like
1: the door mirrors look boring
2: the rims
3: the front should be bigger
Jeremy SiebertAug 08, 2012 Xavier, you just called the Camry exciting? They couldn't make it look exciting with flames painted on the nose and a jet engine sticking out of the trunk...
Xavier MangubatAug 08, 2012 The front and the tail lights should look like the one on the Coupe
Xavier MangubatAug 08, 2012 This car lacks exiting designs that the Altima And The Camry has.
I like the LED Daytime Running lights though
Matt PiccoloAug 08, 2012 I don't see whats wrong with. It... It isn't boring compared to competors?
Jack HowardAug 08, 2012 I like the front but the side profile is just average
Kevin RehbockAug 08, 2012 I've had better looking chuds in my toilet
Bijan JahanpanahAug 08, 2012 they dont care what it looks like because they know it will same because it's a Honda
Isaac SuarezAug 08, 2012 Great car company, but soulless. It could be worse but still as exciting as a rock. Honda needs to stop getting their inspiration from the kitchen.
Tyler TarboxAug 08, 2012 It's ok Honda, you still make great lawnmowers.
Stephen CobbsAug 08, 2012 Hondas have no souls. Sorry Honda slapping LEDs on headlights doesnt make it any better.
Biswajyoti DasAug 08, 2012 Hondas cars have become so boring these days! I want to find the chief designer of Honda and personally smack him on the head. The s2000, the Japanese civic type R, the nsx were the glorious designs of Honda and were real head turners.
Aj HarperAug 08, 2012 Goodbye Honda. FORD FTW!! This car is a shame.
Matt PiccoloAug 08, 2012 I think it looks great.., the old was very bulgy, this is very nice!
Justin BrestAug 08, 2012 HONDA- "we guaranty to bore you to tears"... Honda, your about as fun as insurance, With your fwd/"4wd" pickup to your incredibly practical and affordable cars. Bring back the S2000 so you can have at least a little fun in your cars!
Description: Up front Honda has gone for a new, more upright grille and a more shapely hood, while the side flanks have been more sculpted. Honda has made the rear appear lower and wider by extending the taillight...Add Comments0
Ron VinsonAug 09, 2012 Carbon copy of the Genensis! Ridiculous!
Michael BichayAug 09, 2012 Wow deeply disappointed with the rear. Looks like a Genesis
Keegan MathurAug 09, 2012 The back reminds me of the Mercedes Benz E Class
Wmg ChinchillaAug 09, 2012 Very boring. I'm tired of car companies being too conservative to appease the masses. That's not what we want! Look at why Hyundai is where they are now, they took a gamble with a striking design that nobody had and it worked. This is boring 'safe' design, just like Toyota , Chevy , and now VW. I hate it
Kyle SmithAug 09, 2012 The back is definitely an improvement and the LEDs were a must
Hung TrinhAug 09, 2012 Honda is slipping on innovations(crx, Nsx, s2000).However thier products has a proven track record of resell value, build quality,& reliability unlike its German, American , Korean competitions. Let wait @ see Motortrend, car & driver, ect compare?
Hung TrinhAug 09, 2012 All this Honda hate...??? Honda developed this car to appease the masses... They will sell several hundred thousand unit and if not will be top mid-size sedan sold. Yes it is boring, plan and no eye candy to look at. If its not broke ...
John RiganoAug 09, 2012 Same muffler tips ugly rims
Ken LouiseAug 09, 2012 The tail of a Genesis. Honda, what the hell has happened?
Alan BaarsAug 09, 2012 Oh wow. If you dropped this on a show room floor 10 years ago, no one would bat an eye. Pretty much the same Honda we've always seen for years. Maybe my impression of Honda is wrong but I was expecting more. Exterior easily outclassed.
Jackson MichaelAug 09, 2012 It honestly looks exactly like the old one
Jon AshleyAug 08, 2012 I'm thinking the new mazda 6 will be the best of the group.
Janak SolankiAug 08, 2012 Honda, Kia, Hyundai, Toyota....what's the difference. They all speak the same design language
Eric ByunAug 08, 2012 Honda now copying Hyundai... Times have changed.
Jimmy WilliamsAug 08, 2012 It's just a shame that a company that was so successful in cheap, innovative, fun cars is so incredibly bland now. Eventually sales will fall and catch up to the mundane...ness.
Zachary MaurerAug 08, 2012 @ Patrick, ahahahahahahaha, I agree, but Honda has just sadly fit in with the crowd and made dd for the average driver, what a shame :'(
Patrick SchalkAug 08, 2012 I didn't know turds came in grey
Abraham MendozaAug 08, 2012 I do see some Lexus in there. Shame.
Adam MitchelAug 08, 2012 All these cheaper cars now a days have that line that goes down the side which Mercedes started
Zaire WilkinsAug 08, 2012 the rear is a big improvement at least from them slapping two bars running from the tailights on the 2012 model
Matt PiccoloAug 08, 2012 Honestly, I see some 99 accord in this, NOT genesis... My mom owned one for 10 years and I see a bit of that car in true lights with how big they are
Anthony PalmisanoAug 08, 2012 Wow.......looks just like exactly like Hyundai Genesis's taillights!!!
Jonathan St-PierreAug 08, 2012 Honda really stops making exciting cars since...at least 2006, with the last gen Civic! Almost every single model in their lineup since then are boring...
Jeremy SiebertAug 08, 2012 People with no long term memories forget that Hyaundai has been mimicking Honda design for a couple decades...and this is an evolution of Honda Accord design.
There is moderate similarity to the Genesis taillight shape, but here it is a part of the lines of the car, while the Genesis forced the shape into a slab-sided vehicle
Tin NguyenAug 08, 2012 Honda styling is do boring.
Xavier MangubatAug 08, 2012 The tail light should be smaller and the rear end should be more sharply designed
Xavier MangubatAug 08, 2012 There is A Hyundai Rear End On This car
Matt PiccoloAug 08, 2012 Where is there ANY Hyundai in this
Carlton Sofocusedon GreenAug 08, 2012 They just TOOK the tail lights from the genesis. Their design chief is a crook
Dylan BruderAug 08, 2012 This angle is a little bit better but still definitely no home run
Joe ScarboroughAug 08, 2012 The rear looks a lot like the last gen Sonata. Snooooze.......
Emilio OrtizAug 08, 2012 I think it looks like a lexus
Frederick PerezAug 08, 2012 Not its best look but better than the current model
Matt PiccoloAug 08, 2012 I think it looks awesome, and I'm not seeing and genesis here? I personally think this is class leading with the fusion and Altima close behind
Jimmy WilliamsAug 08, 2012 "Yes Alec, I'll take a boring FWD Genesis for 500 please."
Jeremy SiebertAug 08, 2012 No, Honda Accord. Don't you read the article titles?
Anyways...it's an improvement, even if it doesn't ignite any passion
Matt PiccoloAug 09, 2012 @ Colby, considering the old one got to 60 in about 5.7 sec, thats VERY fast for a fwd car based off of a family sedan...
Juan CejaAug 09, 2012 are they goin to make a HFP Edition?
Jack HowardAug 09, 2012 275hp with a 6speed manual would be very fun IMO
Colby ChurchAug 09, 2012 @Kyle Buddy, your and my perceptions of quick are vastly different. Haha :) They "aren't terribly slow" is the phrase I would prefer.
Kyle SmithAug 09, 2012 I'd buy one with the 6 speed and the V6, they're pretty quick cars.
Dylan BruderAug 08, 2012 Looks better as a coupe I'll admit
Matt PiccoloAug 08, 2012 How does this look like the old one? I really like it!
Jeremy SiebertAug 08, 2012 Their cars, as opposed to the cars over there.
Maybe Honda's targeted demographic is specific to those people who dislike change
Lee GardnerAug 08, 2012 Like Nissan did on there cars
Corey MullisAug 08, 2012 yeah i dont get it, looks exactly the same
Thomas MackeyAug 08, 2012 It looks good...but kinda boring I think we need to see a new overhaul on the accord
Danny ReedAug 14, 2012 Much better. They put it on a diet
Austin BostonAug 10, 2012 is it me or do the taillights actually look sort of like the Porsche Carrera's?
Jack HowardAug 09, 2012 Yeah i read an article on motor trend that actually gives you info
Wyatt GordonAug 08, 2012 @Jack, are you sure? good job then, Honda, youve proved me to be another cynical arse who thinks you're 100% boring. now just design your exteriors like the Italians and the brits, and you're good
Jack HowardAug 08, 2012 Yes its going to have a 6 speed manual that is offered with the v6 and i4
Wyatt GordonAug 08, 2012 @Carlton, I highly doubt Honda will have enough of a sense of humour for a manual
Cameron Duncan CondyAug 08, 2012 Coupe over sedan! This car looks great. I bet better in person.
Perfect. Haters gonna hate
The perfect and ideal car to drive for someone who was born to be mild and living in the land of the bland!
