Auto correct- evo, not Eco, lol
Seon Aaron Sep 04, 2012
I just recently watch this Japanese movie-' initial D' where this kid beats this gtr and Eco drifting round a mountain in his ae86, it's sweet

In the late nineties I had a '84 treuno. Cheapest car I've ever bought ($300) and it was wrecked with over 325k miles. Engine still prob had all 130hp.@Zaire- its close, the old weighed 2100lbs and had a live rear axle. Mini-mustang.

My father haves one AE86 Levin. It's an awesome car and my father loves that car! He bought it in 1992 and then in the 2000's, it needed restoration and my father blew some grand restoring it. One guy wanted to buy my dad's for 10000€
Zaire Wilkins Sep 01, 2012
so really the GT-86 is just a brand new AE-86
Larry Martino Sep 03, 2012
Hachi Roku! Probably bombed that spelling but love this car's nickname. Sounds beast
Michael Bal Sep 01, 2012
It's more like a light blue over a dark blue metallic. Only available on the 86-87 model. That's my favorite color
William Downs Sep 01, 2012
Silver/blue ? Never seen that one before
Michael Bal Sep 01, 2012
It's even got the GTS back bumper that's been painted, the front bumper is off a Trueno, the aftermarket fogs give it a retro style, oh and if that was the real color it would say "Trueno" right behind the doors. Plus the added on wing and stickers
Michael Bal Sep 01, 2012
Nope sorry. That's a gts. And the USDM version NEVER came in panda only the JDM version. But it's a really popular color people in America paint it. The only 2 tone colors it came in where red/black silver/black and silver/blue in America.
William Downs Sep 01, 2012
Bs they came like that here, that's the exact same color of the one I was trying to get off that guy, although the hood and headlights were painted though
Michael Bal Sep 01, 2012
That's a GTS not an official Japanese Trueno so it's been panted like that. Although the guy did one hell of a perfect job converting it
Stephen Tyler Learn Sep 01, 2012
Nevermind I remembered how to read
Stephen Tyler Learn Sep 01, 2012
What's the difference between a levin and a trueno. I don't know much about these cars
William Downs Sep 01, 2012
And this isn't a levin it's a trueno
William Downs Sep 01, 2012
Wtf u talking about that's not a paint job that's the factory design, they were only sold in white, black and red I believe all with black accents, that's by there usually the same colors
chikenbag Sep 01, 2012
i mean, it looks good on there so..... i don't see a problem.
William Downs Sep 01, 2012
I almost bought one from a guy, I went to check out a 240 he had, that thing was a pos rod knock like a mofo. I was there for almost 2 hrs trying to get him to sell it to me but he. Wanted to turn it it into some Mexican show car... Poor car :(
Dale Schroeder Sep 01, 2012
It's extremely hard to find one of these that hasn't been modified, usually to the point of it being ruined. And that's a shame, really.
Description: However, this output was lowered for North America due to emissions regulations, coming in at 112 hp and 96lb-ft (in GT-S spec). Also like its present day relatives, the AE86 was rear-wheel-drive. A f...

Zaire Wilkins Sep 02, 2012

Jason W. Evers Sep 02, 2012
That's not a Silverado.
Michael Bal Sep 01, 2012
I fell like the car was off the trailer the silverado was pulling lol
Patrick R. Manuel Sep 01, 2012

Plus the stock ae86 didn't have different painted headlights like that. They were white even in initial d. It wasn't until he had cf headlights installed later on.
Anthony Bartolone Oct 04, 2012
That and the aftermarket foglamps and wheels look identical to the anime/manga.
Michael Bal Sep 01, 2012
Sorry to burst your bubble guys but on this specific car it is not the stock paint. It's a American GTS that's been fully built almost perfect. Except for 2 things. 1. Steering wheel is on the left side and 2. He left the USDM gts/sr5 taillights on
Corey Mullis Sep 01, 2012
yeah thats stock paint dude. but initial D is awesome, also the next chapter is coming out in october
William Downs Sep 01, 2012
U do know he didn't make it look like that car from initial D,this is the stock paint job just like that one was also
Anthony Bartolone Sep 01, 2012
What about the fact that he made it look identical to the anime/manga that features this car as its star car. Initial D.
Larry Martino Sep 03, 2012
I dont like the cover on the shift knob. Looks too bulky
Michael Bal Sep 01, 2012
I would like to find one with the brown and maroon interior.
Sean John Sep 08, 2012
toyota was on a sick one back in the day
Jorge Gonzalez Sep 02, 2012
The throttle is probably like an on/off switch with those ITBs. Just stop and go no in-between.
Danny Rodriiguez Sep 01, 2012
Booom!!!! 4A-GE 20v Black Top 7000+ RPM madness! One of the most amazing engine sounds ever.
William Downs Sep 01, 2012
Oh my god, velocity stacks.... That things gotta sound amazing and throttle response is probally crazy good
Michael Bal Sep 01, 2012
Amazing AE86 article guys! We need more of them
