James Bond's Aston DBS for Auction

The Aston Martin from "Quantum of Solace" and the BMW Z8 from "The World Is Not Enough" headline charity auction. You know, for the kids.

Opportunities to get your hands on a genuine Bond car are few and far between, but that's precisely what's coming up next month when Christie's auctions off a black Aston Martin DBS used in the filming of the last 007 movie to be released, "Quantum of Solace". The charity auction, benefiting the British children's charity Barnardo's and UNICEF, features an array of 007 memorabilia - from dresses and watches to entire cars - in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the release of the first Bond movie "Dr. No".

The DBS is expected to sell for at least $160,000 (a good $115k less than a new one), and is hopefully in good condition and not the one totalled in the opening of the movie. But if that proves too rich, there are plenty of other items up for grabs. A pre-production replica of the BMW Z8 roadster used in "The World Is Not Enough" is tipped to sell for upwards of $40k, a complete collection of all the Bond books by Ian Flemming ($15.6k), a model of the space shuttle from "Moonraker" ($12.5k) and the Omega watch worn by Daniel Craig in the new movie "Skyfall" ($9.4k).
