2014 Kia Pro Cee’d Prepared for Paris

A sportier version of the new European-market South Korean hatchback has made its way online ahead of its live debut in France.

On the heels of releasing the new Cee'd Sportwagon, Kia has just revealed the new Pro Cee'd. Set for a live debut later this month at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, the Pro Cee'd is the Korean automaker's three-door variant of the five-door Cee'd. The sporty Pro Cee'd hatch will be available in European markets with the Cee'd's array of engines. Gasoline options include a 98-horsepower 1.4-liter four or a 133hp 1.6, while the turbodiesels displace the same and are rated at 89hp and 126hp, respectively.

Kia notes that the "new Pro Cee'd features all the improvements made to the Cee'd five-door and Cee'd Sportswagon, while dramatically progressing the enhanced sporty appearance that made its predecessor so popular." We should find out more about the new Kia Pro Cee'd when it makes its debut in two weeks' time at the Paris Motor Show, however the South Korean automaker has earmarked the model to begin sales in the UK starting in Spring 2013.
