@redge WTF are you talking about? Just because they race against each other, doesn't mean the street-legal cars compete! I don't know a simpler way to put it to you: Aston makes GTs, Lambo doesn't. Yet don't compete.
Company can get their cars into racing, these are real world cars, and the corvettes trunk is wider, but not bigger, but you really come out to NA an a$$ hole redge
The majority of people here complaining about the styling are forgetting that it's only just an update to the db9. They are saving the different styling for the successor of this car.
Compete in world races as I know. (Damn I love talking about cars with others and go into "fights" :D)
@Oh John I think you forgot one car whose name is Aston DBR9 OH it was against who in the GT1 class Oh Corvette Oh Ferrari Oh Maserati ;) there's also the Vantage V8 who runs in the GT2 GT3 and GT4 ;). IMO you can't compare Astons and RR RR didn't..
And the trunk isn't as wide as the one Corvettes got. It's like people don't remember that Aston was made to build beautiful cars with performance and for the racing Damn
And actually it competes with 1 Bentley, the continental gt, which is a "4 seat" (not that usefull) GT car around the same price

It's participation in world races Aston is a sportscar brand and a luxury brand too but doesn't compete with Rolls Royce because they aren't cars for 4 people they don't even have space in the back (that's what RR and Bentley are bought for)..
And because you seem to need an example, I'll give you one: Aston competes in the GT3 class against cars such as the Chevy Camaro and BMW Z4, along with others. So according to your logic, Aston competes with a Camaro and Z4? No! Not even close lol.

@redge in no way does this compete with any lamborghini! It is a GT car. You obviously don't know what a GT is, so look it up. It's competitors or the Bentley Conti GT, Ferrari Cali, Merc CL, and kind of the SLS AMG!

Says it compeats because it has a v12 and 510 bhp, you need to look at what it's soul purpose is, an Aston is not a track car or a speed Demond, it's a luxury gt car that is relatively cheap compared to some competitors, u also have to look a prices

Ferrari because it's a sportscar. It goes to competition with Ferrari Corvette Porsche in races so for me it's a sportscar brand and not only a luxury brand and it doesn't compete with RR or Bentley (bizarre thoughts you can see here)
@Zachary But you are kidding???? So for you a Corvette Z06 isn't a rival of a Lamborghini or Ferrari because it's not mid-engined? So it means a Ferrari F12 isn't The Aventador Rival? And I keep saying that Aston Martin is the rival of Lamborghini...
@redge, how are they competing with lambos and ferraris??? Astons are gt cars, lambos and ferraris are mostly all mid engine except with the ff and California, and the california is the only one in its price range, astons competition is Bentley...
They are Gran Touring cars, not supercars. And for being a GT they are great in both performance and looks.
Yes, this it looks almost exactly the same as the Virage and yes the designers seem kinda lazy, but who cares when it just looks this good!
Erich youre kidding right? If youre gonna call a vantage the best aston, at least say the V12 model. Personally id go with a DBS

Not that I don't think this looks good, cuz it does! I agree, aston martins designers seem to b a bit lazy lately! I wanna see something new (I'm not saying I don't like their cars cuz I DO!) but it would b cool to see them try something new

The main problem is that Aston Martin doesn't have a lot of money so they can't really fight with Lamborghini Ferrari or Porsche
I don't think it has much to do with laziness, but rather the low number of complaints they get on the design. I mean, it looks great anyway.
So they get rid of the Virage, and restyle the DB9 to look just like it...not sure I understand

@alex, the buttons underneath the two center air vents are the gear selectors, but I'm pretty sure I can see the outer edge of a paddle from behind the wheel
@alex most astons have the paddle-shift option like this one. The DBS and V12 Vantage are the only ones I've seen with a proper gear box.
