Published: Sep 20, 2012
Description: This one relates to the series we did last week, as it's a sort of low-volume retro, although not a revival of an older nameplate. You may have heard of Wiesmann from its appearance on Top Gear, ...

I first heard of Weismann from Test Drive Unlimited back in 06!
Paul Lissona Sep 21, 2012
Yah that's what it is ha.
Matty Michaels Sep 20, 2012
Next up: Subrau SVX... Or whatever the weird window thingy is.
Wolfgang Ezeh Sep 22, 2012
the first car I'm going to put in my garage when my ship comes in!
Paul Lissona Sep 21, 2012
Leave it to Germans to build a proper any type of car.
Matthew Tai Sep 20, 2012
This car and the Morgans pull off the classic look well
Nick Benz Sep 20, 2012
Leave it to the germans to build a proper roadster
Janya Pulusu Sep 20, 2012
Looks like a beat up morgan
Barry Boo Wilson Sep 20, 2012
One of my favorite cars.
Dillon Magee Sep 20, 2012
That looks fantastic. The red compliments it well too.
Janak Solanki Sep 20, 2012
Those are some killer curves. Very sexy.
Jeff Link Sep 20, 2012
Work of art. Really like this.
Dylan Bruder Sep 20, 2012
It is it popped up later in the article
Brandon Lidy Sep 20, 2012
Yeah I think it's the twin turbo 4.4
Dylan Bruder Sep 20, 2012
Slick besides that though don't these have a 4.4 in them?
Dylan Bruder Sep 20, 2012
Wheel arches are very odd
Carlton Salmon Sep 20, 2012
That looks soooo good. They sound incredible too.
John Serely Sep 20, 2012
I love these, they look great
Description: However, the MGB GT was introduced at a time when its soft top counterpart was one of the most popular sports cars in the world. The GT MF4 is a very different sort of vehicle in today's automoti...

Mercedes-Benz: "The name “Shooting Brake” is historically based on a British term that was used to describe a motorized vehicle that was used to carry shooting parties and their equipment. In more modern times it has been used to describe three and five door cars where the characteristics of an estate and a coupé are brought together to create stylistic yet functional vehicles."
John Serely Sep 20, 2012
I thought it was a 2 door wagon (NOT a two door hatch). But, like a lot of terms, it is used very loosely
Dillon Dixon Sep 20, 2012
Usually it's another term for wagon. There isn't an actual trunk, the roof extend to the rear if the car.
Brandon Lidy Sep 20, 2012
From my understanding, a shooting brake usually has a roofline that slopes into the rear of the car. Typically long ass cars. Just look at the silhouettes of any weissman coupe, the FF, and the z3 and you should see similarities
Zachary Maurer Sep 20, 2012
Yep good description
Paul Lissona Sep 20, 2012
I agree that's what it is, yup.
Kyle Rawn Sep 20, 2012
I'd say that was a pretty accurate description. Well done sir
Matty Michaels Sep 20, 2012
It's means a car that's so ugly, you shoot it till it breaks (i.e. Ferrari ff)
Jordan Jackson Sep 20, 2012
Can anyone explain to me what a shooting brake is? I've never heard that term until I got the CarBuzz app
Description: One might think that, as with the MG, all of this simplicity translates into a low price, but the GT MF4 starts at around $180,000, a bold price to go with a bold body style. But the car really is bea...

What do you say about plasti dip?
Janak Solanki Sep 20, 2012
I think this would look much better if they replaced the headlight cluster with a single light like the Ferraris from the 60's.
uptown Sep 20, 2012
I love everything but the headlights
Paul Dickey Sep 20, 2012
Idk why you're complaining. That's how they make money and keep their app running.
Jahaziel Ortiz Sep 20, 2012
Was that an ad in my article!!! Sigh car buzz you were doing so good!
Nick Benz Sep 20, 2012
This is the bomb. Dang.
Janya Pulusu Sep 20, 2012
I like the exhaust pipes
John M Weishahn Sep 20, 2012
Reminds me of the Dubonnet Hispano. That's high praise!
Carlton Salmon Sep 20, 2012
Now that's what you call stance!
John Serely Sep 20, 2012
It's so...unique (which is a good thing lol(
Description: Wiesmann lets you pick from a long list of materials and colors when you place your order. They'll even stitch your name in place of the Wiesmann logo on the seats, if you're that particular...

Janya Pulusu Sep 21, 2012
@tin it does not even compare to the z4
Dillon Magee Sep 20, 2012
Love the curves.
Tin Nguyen Sep 20, 2012
This is way better looking than the z4
Ben August Sep 20, 2012
This is the one for me
Jordan Jackson Sep 20, 2012
This looks amazing
Carlton Salmon Sep 20, 2012
Great combination of stylish wheels along with the matt pearlescent finish.
Jordan Jackson Sep 20, 2012
I'm not crazy about the whole rear end
Janak Solanki Sep 20, 2012
Not crazy about the lights on the back. I think they need to simplify it.
Description: Power comes from BMW's S65 V8, the same engine found in the E92 M3, only fitted with twin turbochargers and bored (like the M3 GTS and CRT) to 4.4 liters. This produces 402 horsepower, but if you...

Patrick Schalk Sep 20, 2012
Well on CB fiberglass = cheap plastic as you have seen on all the Corvette articles.
Nick Benz Sep 20, 2012
Theres a difference between cheap plastic and beautiful bodywork.
Patrick Schalk Sep 20, 2012
So does this car deserve the " cheap plastic " designation too?
Michael Kozlowski Sep 20, 2012
Earlier it didn't say they bored out the engine but just that it was the same engine from the M3, I understand what they did now.
Al Tungupon Sep 20, 2012
Italian styling with German engineering - a match made in heaven. If this is BMW's way of finally building their 911, be it M1 or Z6, then go ahead with it.
Al Tungupon Sep 20, 2012
So the M3 engine added two turbos and was bored to 4.4 liters, but power is down from 414 to 402?
Darryle Moody Sep 20, 2012
The BMW S6540 engine is 4.0 liters, it said it's bore was increased to a swept capacity of 4.4 liters. The same capacity that powers the E92 M3 GTS which that engine designation is S6544. They just enlarge the engine & add turbos.
Ty Piper Sep 20, 2012
they said it was bored out to 4.4L and fitted with twin turbos specifically for these cars.... I think
Aislin Cooper Sep 20, 2012
The S65 is the engine from the new M5 and M6. So I don't know where they switched the facts
Carlton Salmon Sep 20, 2012
@ Michael. Exactly, mate. Confusing facts from CarBuzz.
Michael Kozlowski Sep 20, 2012
Since when did the e92 M3's engine grow from a 4.0L V8 to a 4.4L twin turbo V8?!?
Description: It has been observed that Wiesmann's cars are surprisingly comfortable over rough road, considering how ridged they are in a turn, and this duality alone is worth quite a bit of money to enthusia...

Guo-Sheng Huang Sep 20, 2012
One of my favorite cars!
Nick Benz Sep 20, 2012
Its probably supposed to be gecko green. But yea it does look like pond scum. Hopefully its just the lighting
Paul Lissona Sep 20, 2012
Me either looks too much like a dirty pond color.
Jordan Jackson Sep 20, 2012
Not digging the sickly green accents
Description: But cars like this are rare in every sense of the word. The Ferrari FF isn't quite the same (it has four seats, for example), and a used Z3 Coupe won't impress the way the GT MF4 will. A Mor...

A Morgan aero coupe is flubbin fabulous
Carlton Salmon Sep 20, 2012
Love those lights.
Fourtyeight Statestreet Rod Sep 21, 2012
Corvette serves its purpose well. 200mph & gets high 20's mpg. You want leather interior? $1,000 could do it
Bill Estep Jr Sep 21, 2012
R those the nitrous buttons JK lol
Nick Benz Sep 20, 2012
Look at the wiper/blinker stalk. Its wrapped in leather. Whats it in a corvette? Oh right. Plastic...
Juventas Telsinskas Sep 20, 2012
the only thing i dont like about this car is the interior
uptown Sep 20, 2012
@Tim look at the quality of it. The Corvette is cheap plastic. This is not.
Tim Puckett Sep 20, 2012
So in this is simple but effective yet in the corvette it's cheap and plastic?
Stephen Tyler Learn Sep 20, 2012
I want that steering wheel
Carlton Salmon Sep 20, 2012
Simple but effective interior.
