Jdm JerrySep 25, 2012 I am so excited to hear this
David GuerreroSep 25, 2012 LFA by Toyota/Lexus was rumored for really long. And was produced
John SerelySep 25, 2012 ...rumored for years before they showed up
John SerelySep 25, 2012 Ugh...another rumor of a sports car from Honda (and toyota) I'll believe it when I see it. There has been way too many rumors of new S2000's or new this or new that. Besides the NSX concept, and toyoburu, there had been nothing. Even those were...
Hasan IbrahimSep 25, 2012 No it wouldn't. It's more like a downgraded nsx than a new s2k.
Brady FeredaySep 25, 2012 Wouldn't that be a new s2k?
Matt PiccoloSep 25, 2012 Ooo an nsx AND nsx junior?! I like the way u think Honda! :)
Jared GarnerOct 08, 2012 Looks amazing but I would also take the old one
Jared GarnerOct 08, 2012 Looks awesome for I guess Honda does know how to make a nice sports car
Stephen WoodSep 25, 2012 The front lights and overall body shape looks similar to a R8
Ryan RainvilleSep 25, 2012 YAY NSX! I want one of the old ones so bad... O the things I could do with an NSX and are y'all saying the new NSX is going to compete with the r8 4.2 or the baby NSX because I thought the new NSX was supposed to be more competing at a higher level
Pranay ImaGiraffe PersonSep 25, 2012 This car is something way different from an R8 but I would like the old NSX than this cuz conpanies are starting to make these shitty new "futuristic" crap cars that are annoyin please stop
Dillon MageeSep 25, 2012 Looks good, but not like an r8.
Tanner McAllisterSep 25, 2012 I really hope Honda has to ability to set the super car standard one again like they did with the old NSX !!
Andy ClouthierSep 25, 2012 Are people confusing a similar layout (mid-engine, AWD) as 2 cars looking alike? This doesn't look like an r8.
John SerelySep 25, 2012 @drhuv actually it will fight the V8V, R8 4.2 and the i8, not the "big boys" of the under-500k car world
Shelby CassandraSep 25, 2012 It only looks like an R8 in pictures. I've seen it at the NAIAS and it just doesn't look like an R8 in person.
Zachary MaurerSep 25, 2012 Ya at one time the old nsx was the start of a super car era, it was the leader, then Honda lost there way, and I give them props for trying to find their way back
David GuerreroSep 25, 2012 I see a little bit of Mini Cooper in there, there's 4 tires, windows, 2 doors, and they both have headlights! o.0 creepy
Tn NgSep 25, 2012 @roggina its a Honda/Acura why r u comparing this to the mighty horse and bull
Roggina FrogginaSep 25, 2012 This car is beautiful, but its not stunning. The design is too... Contemporary. It's missing that zing of Ferraris and lambos. You know?
Henz HerreroSep 25, 2012 No clue were you see the r8..
Matt PiccoloSep 25, 2012 It's all opinion on whether people like it or not but I really don't get how it looks like an r8... I saw the concept @ the Toronto auto show and it looks in person lower and sleeker than an r8 and has a lot more curves as well!
Clay WilliamsSep 25, 2012 I really don't see any R8 in this at all. It's an all around ok car just nothing very special.
Matt PiccoloSep 25, 2012 The only thing I see is a work of art!
Pagani GtrSep 25, 2012 Looks like someone breed an r8 and a mclaren
Description: Motor Trend is reporting that in addition to a new NSX, Honda also had plans in 2008 to do a "Small NSX" and now it's supposedly back on the agenda as well. A Honda source has told Moto...Add Comments15
Patrick SchalkSep 25, 2012 It's definitely gonna be fun to drive. But as previously stated, AWD adds some weight. Transfer cases aren't very light and have to have other half shafts and drive shafts adds even more weight.
Danny RodriiguezSep 25, 2012 @david I now that M transmissions and RWD are lighter but remember that a heavy body or rims, etc are critical.Oh and if Im wrong correct me please,I can make errors.
@patrick But yeah you got the point anyways, but if it has the same soul as the oldy, its okay to me.Although is AWD but it can be fun to drive like the susessor.
Jordan JacksonSep 25, 2012 @john: once your warranty runs out that is, lol
John M WeishahnSep 25, 2012 That sounds like an incredible package. Let the tuning begin!
David GuerreroSep 25, 2012 @Danny, rwd and manual tranny is lighter than awd and paddle shifted auto
Patrick SchalkSep 25, 2012 Eh that's a given. Obviously it can't be a fatty like the Camaro and Chally.
Danny RodriiguezSep 25, 2012 I wish that Honda develop a V8 with at least 450 hp for the new NSX.That will be a little more competitive with modern day supercars.
And @patrick i agree with you,RWD and a manual but you forgot a little point---->LIGHTWEIGHT
Bobert LiuSep 25, 2012 Honda finally stepping up to the modern day sports car pressure Toyota is putting on. I'm excited for this new age! maybe the Acura badge doesn't sound as exotic as Lamborghini or Ferrari, but I assure you, there won't be a lack of attention.
Henz HerreroSep 25, 2012 Tls 300hp engine + acuras famous sh-awd on a very light coupe.. I think itll be good..
Patrick SchalkSep 25, 2012 Come on Honda. Actually make it like the old NSX. RWD, manual tranny, and a nice NA V6.
Matt PiccoloSep 25, 2012 Just a Honda? U do know we're talking about the mid-engine supercar called the nsx right? The old nsx competed with ferraris of its day!
Clay WilliamsSep 25, 2012 If your worried that millionaires will all stop buying mid engine super cars and just buy a Honda, don't worry that wont happen.
Brady FeredaySep 25, 2012 Tony mid engine cars are around though mr2 is one for example so a mid engine Honda wouldn't be bad it would be awesome especially if it's turboed
Puneet DassSep 25, 2012 Turbo vtec? It's a boy racer's dream come true

James E CaldwellSep 26, 2012 They should build it using parts from the accord. They could Mid mount that sweet v6 which already has a nice manual transmission. Price it just above the accord coupe. Skip the high tech SH-AWD make it the simple NSX. Keep the $ down.
Josh MorganSep 26, 2012 Drop another 20k, if you can and/or want and you have a 700-800 hp dd. for the price you can't beat it. I mean a 900+hp GT500 will run you over 100k. And no one is really making competitive imports any more. Honda is stick on the civic band waggon.
Josh MorganSep 26, 2012 The big problem is that most of the good sports cars are out of the price range of the average person. About the only good deal I see now days is the GTR. 09 GTRs go for 60k with 50k miles.
Jordan SmithSep 25, 2012 I agree David. But the times are changing. There is the GT86/BRZ/FRS though and that seems to be bringing back the simple sports cars.
David RecordSep 25, 2012 what if the world wants a simpler, fun sports car? cars are getting to complex and expensive. My 72 240z windows still roll up. Just my 2 horsepowers worth.
Bull DogoneSep 25, 2012 2017 release, who really cares ?
Entire world could change drastically in next 5 years and this could once again be killed.
Bobby CommentSep 26, 2012 Very cool but I can't imagine how much smaller a NSX could get and still have room for actual people to get in. Regardless, I'm a big fan of the NSX and producing a more affordable option is great.
Jeff LinkSep 26, 2012 Still like this better then many exotic car today. It's original and still stylish. The new one looks... Well... Acuraish...
John M WeishahnSep 25, 2012 If you want to know how good these early NSXs are, share a track with one that's got a really competent driver at the wheel. Trust me, they're outstanding.
Colby ChurchSep 25, 2012 @Justin No, REAL sports cars are front engine, rear wheel drive. THAT is the definition of a fun car.
Zaire WilkinsSep 25, 2012 this is what made ferarri what it is today
Justin McLeodSep 25, 2012 I would love to have the original. It's exactly what a sports car is suppose to be, lightweight, mid engine, rwd, and most importantly FAST. Good looking too IMO ;)
Clay WilliamsSep 25, 2012 I've seen it in real life and I still wasn't a fan.
Matt PiccoloSep 25, 2012 Just sayin, I never REALLY appreciated this car until I saw it in real life! Pictures really don't do it ANY justice! But it's all opinion
Clay WilliamsSep 25, 2012 It's not really my cup of tea but I'll give it credit, it is quite fast.
Tara FitriaSep 26, 2012 To expand on what Zachary says, this s2000 cr(club racer) has stiffer suspension stickier tires no folding soft top, ac as an option, and aero add ons, when compared to a standard s2000.excellent engine 120 hp/L, quite an achievement. Amazing car.
Zachary MaurerSep 26, 2012 @aaron, if you were a car guy, you would know this was a race inspired s2000, not a civic stupid
Aaron CrispSep 26, 2012 RICE = Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements. AKA Civic with ridiculous park bench spoiler and body kit, fake hood scoop, etc...
Ben HowellSep 26, 2012 What Jordan said is spot on. But 5.5 0-60 is what I would say is a 'fast' car. So no it isn't Ferrari fast...but then it was never intended to be. A 13-14 second 1/4 mile isn't shabby at all.
Jordan SmithSep 25, 2012 These things aren't built for half second 0-60's. They're built for the enjoyment of the ride and to handle great. And they do both quite well.
Ryan RainvilleSep 25, 2012 And they are definitely not slow I have driven one the build revs like a bat out of hell and the gear box is amazing
Ryan RainvilleSep 25, 2012 So 23k versus 80k for a cayman r and you can stomp the cayman r on twisty roads sounds like one hell of a deal to me
Ryan RainvilleSep 25, 2012 And the kit on the car in the picture gives it great breaks some added aro and better suspension you can pick one of these club racer specs I think it's called for under 20 grand and you add about 3 ontop of that for power mods and it will eat cayman
Zachary MaurerSep 25, 2012 Shelby, your talking in circles, all you keep saying is that it's slow, we get you point all ready
Patrick SchalkSep 25, 2012 I'd love to have an S2K (hard top only). This thing would be a blast to take to the track every weekend.
Matt PiccoloSep 25, 2012 Maybe when @ a drag strip, but @ a track this is a damn quick car for the price
Shelby CassandraSep 25, 2012 Must have been the driver. Either way it's still not very fast. Sorry, but you can't deny that.
Matt PiccoloSep 25, 2012 @ Brandon's, a ricer is a car from ANYWHERE that has a ridiculous body kit with no performance to back it up
Matt PiccoloSep 25, 2012 The s2k runs 13.9-14.1 depending on the year... Where r u getting 15 from... And u do know this isn't a drag car right? So no duh it doesn't have a great 1/4 mile time... On the track (one that's not a straight line, this things a beast
Shelby CassandraSep 25, 2012 @Matt. I don't have to drive one. I've destroyed a couple on the track. I also know what qualifies as a "fast" car. Something that runs 15's in the 1/4 aren't "fast". No offense to your car but it really isn't.
Matt PiccoloSep 25, 2012 @ clay, this is a rwd car, so the spoiler helps wit downforce
Matt PiccoloSep 25, 2012 If ur calling this slow you've never drive one period!
Clay WilliamsSep 25, 2012 I ricer is a car with silly modifications that give them a the appearance of speed but actually do nothing at all. Aka this spoiler.
Andy ClouthierSep 25, 2012 But Colby, it's a front engined RWD car, what you called a "real" sports car.
What are they slow compared to, anyways?
Zachary MaurerSep 25, 2012 @shelby...ok, my point was it wasn't suppost to be fast...
Ben HowellSep 25, 2012 I recently bought a z3 2.2 but would love to drive a s2. My uncle had one and it is meant to be a real old school sports car...really work it hard to get the performance but apparently very rewarding...
Johnny HooverSep 25, 2012 If they ever make a new one I will be the first in line
Johnny HooverSep 25, 2012 Hey kiddies this car is not slow it handles amazing and has enough power to scare you while doing it.
I have owned 2 s2ks 2 sti's 1 350z and 1 zcp m3 and I still miss my s2000. A s2000 is the perfect street machine.
Hmmmmm nyc car hope2 have dis
