Description: You can't truly understand the speed of the Nissan GT-R until you watch or drive one in a quarter mile run. Both stock and tuned Godzillas are capable of impressing through the quarter. (Tuned GT...Add Comments7
William DownsSep 30, 2012 As a general statement no the times arent godly, but for what it is yes it's a godly time
Tim PreisingerSep 30, 2012 Well, I also don't think really high 8's is "godly". Don't get me wrong, it's a great time for a street car. Probably wont loose too many stop light battles. But I still wouldn't call that "godly".
William DownsSep 30, 2012 How many of them cars running 6seconds are still drivable on the street and reliable at the same time, that number is probally more close to zero, this does 8 seconds and is still a reliable street car
Shelby CassandraSep 29, 2012 @TN. It isn't really a production car. It's a highly tuned version of one. I wasn't denying they're great times but tuned cars have been known to run around 6s. Nothing about a high 8 say godly to me.
Joshua Minh TranSep 29, 2012 @TN I absolutely agree...a dragster shouldn't be compared to a production car....it defies all logic, that's like me comparing a F1's quarter mile to a road legal car.
Tn NgSep 29, 2012 @ Shelby under 9 sec for a production car is godly, why r u comparing it to a dragster,
Shelby CassandraSep 29, 2012 Godly is too strong of a word to use. An 8 second 1/4 is awesome but top fuel dragsters run godly 1/4s.
Description: Chicago-based AMS has built a beastly GT-R capable of doing a quarter mile in 8.975 seconds. The Alpha 12 GT-R has 1,500hp and a top speed close to 230 mph. In case you were wondering, the action star...Add Comments7
William DownsSep 29, 2012 Rite after u hear the wheels chirp u can notice it bog down for a second, nothing major just a tiny bit regardless thing hauled ass
Tara FitriaSep 29, 2012 The launch didn't look that bad, a little wheel spin, but not bad considering all the power this is putting out.
William DownsSep 29, 2012 Damn and that was with a botched launch
Description: Sure, the other GT-Rs on this list are running quarter miles in less than 9 and 10 seconds, but they are a long way from stock. The 2013 GT-R in this clip is running 10-second quarter miles with absol...Add Comments18
Zeus MochaOct 01, 2012 Connor has been cut I believe
William DownsSep 30, 2012 What really shocking is there is no Connor bashing the vette... It's slightly weird, kind expected him to be one of the first to comment
Maaz KhanSep 30, 2012 Love the ZR1, but GTR is still one my top dream cars! 4 seater moving so quick
Dylan BruderSep 30, 2012 @wiilliam ptm management and launch control plus those Michelin cup tires
Serge PankratovSep 29, 2012 Holy $h!t!!! I never thought it would kill the ZR1 that bad! 3+ seconds!!?? Gotta love the awd+launch control
Matt PiccoloSep 29, 2012 @ Colby, u r right, at high speeds a zr1 would pull a gtr, but it wouldn't pull away from it THAT quickly unless ur talking 140-150+... Anywhere from 60-140 a gtr will keep with a zr1 fairly well
Barry Boo WilsonSep 29, 2012 Same year still wouldn't matter stock for stock in quarter
William DownsSep 29, 2012 @michael, there is no difference between a 2010zr1 and a 2013 so it don't matter what year, needs a Better driver
Michael FusciardiSep 29, 2012 That's nowhere near a good run for the ZR1. And a 2010 vs a 2013 GTR? The sane year ZR1 would be much closer or even win. It's just simply a better car than the Nissan.
Colby ChurchSep 29, 2012 Put Tanner Foust in that ZR1 and it would be a close one in the 1/4 mile.
Colby ChurchSep 29, 2012 From a roll though or on the interstate at high speeds, the ZR1 will pull really hard on a GT-R. The GT-R has the 0-60 down pat though. That AWD is quick. But at higher speeds and with the right driver, the ZR1 takes the cake.
Matt PiccoloSep 29, 2012 Yea that was obviously a bad run for the zr1
Shelby CassandraSep 29, 2012 13 second from a ZR1? Sounds like he got nervous trying not to blow it against Godzilla and really messed up.
Tara FitriaSep 29, 2012 Wow, good launch for the gtr.
Description: The good folks over at Drag Times Info love the running quarter miles in the GT-R Switzer P800. The times they post aren't too impressive, but there's nothing like watching Godzilla run the ...Add Comments0
William DownsOct 01, 2012 When u basically lower the car to the floor and make it a useless ugly pile of shit
Carlton SalmonOct 01, 2012 Apart from the vents in the bonnet I love the look of this, especially with those wheels. Are they ADV10 Concaves? Can someone explain to me what hellaflush is?
Patrick SchalkSep 30, 2012 Damn this is a good lookin GTR.
William DownsSep 30, 2012 I wouldn't trust them still but I would deffinatly give them a chance, competition drives this industry and the more competition there is making great products the better and faster the industry grows, witch is great for us
William DownsSep 30, 2012 I guess, but thats probally because I'm not really biased towards any car company, like if Daewoo came back with a car that looked really nice and had some proof they weren't junk anymore I wouldn't bash them because of there past
Maaz KhanSep 30, 2012 @williams u actually make the most logical comments on this app :)
Miguel JimenezSep 29, 2012 @Joel get out of the rock you live in Muscle Cars handle just. I don't mind civics as long as they're done with taste, I freaking hate hellaflush and ricers.
William DownsSep 29, 2012 Gtr = high tech rocket
Vette = bare bones rocket
Both can lay down amazing lap times and demand respect, plus they don't cost a fortune to buy or maintain
John SerelySep 29, 2012 @william I think your correct when you say they are 2 of the most hated (performance cars only). But, they also have most the fanboys, for sure!
Joshua Minh TranSep 29, 2012 @Colby church, I completely agree with you, I'm a GTR guy but I give the Corvette zr1 mad respect for what it can do with how little it costs...I suppose people just hate on these two cars cause they're not the norm and breaking the status quo
William DownsSep 29, 2012 And there is a difference between respecting a car and liking it, for those that didnt know that cause there seems to be a lot of them on CB
William DownsSep 29, 2012 Only riced out, hella flush, more sounds system then go civics are hated I'm sure everyone can respect a track built civic or a drag racing monster, If not your just close minded
Joel HopeSep 29, 2012 The most hated car is probably the civic because of people who cant see past american v8s and turning left so Honda must be doing something right.
William DownsSep 29, 2012 So far my koup has been the funnest fwd car I have ever driven, it's has gobs of grip in the corners and didnt cost much and is fully loaded, ill give any car the benefit or a dought don't care who makes the car. But i want to get a c5 as my next DD
William DownsSep 29, 2012 People underestimate a lot of cars because of past reputation or just because of what others say, as a true gear head every car that comes out I judge it from that car, not the company's past, I have Kia a shot cause I liked the way it looked
Colby ChurchSep 29, 2012 People under estimate both of them and they prove themselves again and again to be capable and lethal competitors in the auto industry compared to their rivals, and they are both affordable super cars and deserve recognition for their accomplishments
Colby ChurchSep 29, 2012 come to love both of them in time. It's all about the spark of interest, and some just haven't had the spark to respect certain automobiles for what they truly are capable of. Both are amazing, crazy fast cars and will go down in history as such.
Colby ChurchSep 29, 2012 @ William Agreed. I'm a Vette guy and I also like GT-Rs and people are hating on these two cars more than any others. Everyone has reasons for liking what they do, and I think if people tried, they could understand other people's reasons and
Aaron CrispSep 29, 2012 GTR is an awesome machine, that's for sure.
William DownsSep 29, 2012 Like another member said, " if there hating, you must be doing something rite" and gtr and vette probally have the most haters of any cars out today
William DownsSep 29, 2012 I like it to, fits its machine personality, just does its job to the T, always loved the skyline/gtr family, from day one they have always just did what they were built to do exceptionally well and this one is no exception
Forrest WoodSep 29, 2012 It can compete with just about anything out there. That's definitely not over rated
William DownsSep 29, 2012 How are they over rated, they do everything they we're designed to do, it's not over rated it does its job perfectly, an over rated car would be one that's claims all this and that's and does it all half ass
Jacob Viiper McCordSep 29, 2012 I'm so damn tired of seeing these.. as soon as they came out, they were overrated.
Matt PiccoloSep 29, 2012 Idk but IMO it's ugly as hell
As a general statement no the times arent godly, but for what it is yes it's a godly time
