Jason W. EversOct 03, 2012 SRT Magnum all the way. Baddest wagon on earth.
Patrick SchalkOct 01, 2012 Wouldn't mind a GXP. As long as it has a V8, RWD, and optioned out pretty well, it's good by me.
Maria GarciaOct 01, 2012 @Patrick, I say G8. It's more unique and in my opinion looks better. A G8 GXP would be pretty awesome. Too bad they're kind of hard to come by.
Patrick SchalkOct 01, 2012 Yeah I'm gettin a G8 GT or SRT8 Magnum for a DD. Haven't decided which yet
JoshuaOct 01, 2012 G8 with firehawk upgrades is supposed to be godly
Aaron CrispOct 01, 2012 Can't go wrong with some Australian muscle!
Patrick SchalkSep 30, 2012 I'd definitely get an STI if I were in that situation BUT I'm gonna opt for a G8 GT.
Aaron CrispSep 30, 2012 Nah but really though I agree Josh, these cars are sweet.
Joshua Minh TranSep 30, 2012 @Oren you're a dumbass for that comment. This is the car you would get if your wife wanted you to get rid of the two door sports car cause you got a baby on the way. "honey I am home and I got a four door car with a baby seat like you wanted" grins
Oren BlumensteinSep 30, 2012 Sexually Transmitted Infection i always say
Joe JohnstonSep 30, 2012 Love Subaru, on my 4th one. Had a WRX, 98 Legacy STi swap, 97 Impreza, now a 98 Legacy outback wagon.
Tim PreisingerSep 30, 2012 My friend had an 04. Awesome little car.
William DownsSep 30, 2012 No sti was introduced in 94
Puneet DassSep 30, 2012 Japan's been getting the STI since 1996 I think. Better late than never right?
David GuerreroSep 30, 2012 It's gonna be my car I get after university in 3 years
Matt PiccoloSep 30, 2012 @ Patrick, I know but they still don't look good lol
Patrick SchalkSep 30, 2012 Matt this is an actual race car. He actually has sponsors.
Michael MontefuscoSep 30, 2012 Matt. I just got done reading one of your posts on here. Then I go into Facebook and onto the forza page. There I randomly see one of your comments lmao!
Michael MontefuscoSep 30, 2012 Lose the stickers???? I don't think his sponsors will like that...
William DownsSep 30, 2012 Love that side profile, looks so aggressive and mean,
Zachary MaurerSep 30, 2012 @matt, y they add like...30 extra horsepower

Raschard JacksonNov 26, 2012 Last Gen that I like was 4th gen? I think? I'm not good with generations. Well I'll just say the one from '06. Whatever generation that was, was the last one i liked. My dream subie is a '98 Impreza 2.5RS
Jamal FranklinOct 30, 2012 my dream car the five door even thou I'm only 13
Cody GillardOct 03, 2012 Ah what a great car nothing to make fun of but it still rattles me why people would rather have the hatch back than the sedan but thats just me
Ethan AmoSep 30, 2012 Damn, red looks awesome on this car
Antonio FalsettiSep 30, 2012 I like these headlights verses the 2012/13
William DownsSep 30, 2012 Hated this gen, they were to round and soft looking, not agressive enough
William DownsOct 01, 2012 A 4x4 vehicle is 2wd with a separate transfer case from the transmission witch must be engaged to give power to the 4 wheels either in 4HI or 4LO, now some vehicles do have the option to make it 2wd but these usually are available on towing packages
William DownsOct 01, 2012 I know I'm may be coming of as a bit of an ass and I don't mean too, what u describe before was 4x4, awd an 4wd are similar in the fact that there both full time awd, one u can select different ranges for the center diff, the other u cant
William DownsOct 01, 2012 That because Subaru and the Evo are awd, u can't change the ratio of the center diff... Not grasping the difference? A Subaru and Evo are awd, a newer jeep Cherokee is 4wd, because I has full time awd with a selectable center diff
David ParentiOct 01, 2012 Any Subaru owner or MIT Evo owner would tell you their call is Awd not 4wd. They'd sound like an idiot at a car show. Just sayin.
Tara FitriaOct 01, 2012 ....this car down the road. So in that sense, it is 4wd.
Tara FitriaOct 01, 2012 For the purpose of this article 4wd and awd are interchangeable terms. Traditionally 4wd would refer to trucks or jeeps, that's common knowledge, your arguing over semantics. If you want to get literal about it, 4 wheels do get power and drive.....
William DownsOct 01, 2012 And awd u cannot, both situations vehicle is perminatly awd, jeep grand Cherokee is a gret example, they are awd with a selectable center differential making it 4wd, same shit just one is selectable as one is not
William DownsOct 01, 2012 Now 4x4 would be different from awd and 4wd, 4x4 has a center differential that must be engaged to make the vehicle 4wd... Awd & 4wd are both the same things 4 wheels receive power at all times, difference being 4wd u can select 4hi, or 4lo
William DownsOct 01, 2012 ... Both awd an 4wd have a transfer case aka a center differential, both have a front and rear differential, difference being in "4wd" u can select different ratios, awd u can't select different ratios just torque split front to rear
Peter PortanteSep 30, 2012 If u have 6 wheels awd is diff then 4wd js
David ParentiSep 30, 2012 Dude that is so wrong and if you think Awd and 4wd are the same thing except one is selectable then you know nothing.
William DownsSep 30, 2012 Again only difference between awd and 4wd is one is selectable and one is not... Like I said
William DownsSep 30, 2012 .... Awd has a transfer case, no it's not selectable because its a fixed ratio, selectable transfer cases are selectable because they have different ratios built in this gives u the 4hi and 4lo.
David ParentiSep 30, 2012 Also Awd does not have "low" gears like a 4wd does because Awd does not have a transfer case. There are many differences.
David ParentiSep 30, 2012 Actually not. 4wd has an exterior mounted transfer case to the transmission while Awd has a power splitting differential within the tranny. Awd provides different percentages of power to front/rear axles depending on loss of traction.
William DownsSep 30, 2012 Only in the fact that one is selectable and one is not
David ParentiSep 30, 2012 A Subaru is awd not 4wd.
There is a difference.
Joe LamoukSep 30, 2012 Glad that the Impreza became a Sedan again. The only thing I don't like about that version is the back, it reminds me of a Toyota Avensis.
William DownsSep 30, 2012 No it was GS and the other class was ST
Chad SchleySep 30, 2012 William what series is this, world challenge TC?
Carlton SalmonSep 30, 2012 Better looking than the hatch.
William DownsSep 30, 2012 And this car did really well considering I was the only 4wd car racing in that series

Lee CascioOct 13, 2012 Have a 99 swapped RS, most fun and unique car I have driven. Absolute blast to drive on back roads and gets looks from people who know a thing or two.
Benjamin McCormickOct 01, 2012 I used to have a 98 2.5 RS. Black with gold wheels. That thing was a fkn blast. Actually, probably one of my favorite cars ever. I miss it.
Joe Fats HarperSep 30, 2012 Yeah, but the American market is flooded with tons of competition from a lot of different manufacturers. Once you factor in the expense of American regulations and taxes, a company would need to sell a lot of units in order to make any money..
Antonio FalsettiSep 30, 2012 Bring it to the states and it will sell. I wish all manufacturers would realize this. It's good to have choices.

William DownsSep 30, 2012 He'll yea Subaru Is my brand, stupid good reliability and great performance without breaking the bank, and the sound.... Omg could listen to that noise all day every day, best engine note in my book nothing beats it
Kyryl MartynovSep 30, 2012 Rota grids for sure.. not sure if id go with that hood though..
Nick StiSep 30, 2012 @Dhruv haha yeah and my dad has a Silver 08 hatch. The thing is so much fun to drive :D It's my profile pic^
William DownsSep 30, 2012 Holy shit those rims are perfect
Nick StiSep 30, 2012 Yeah I'm thinking those are grids. Look nice, but needs more meat!
Tara FitriaSep 30, 2012 I want to say those are te37's but probably rotas, whatever the case I'm diggin those wheels. I'd like them

Adam ZarytskyDec 22, 2012 So? 305 is just fine when you've got 4 passengers, luggage, and a snowstorm. Have fun w/ that in a stang... I love stangs but they aren't the same class. I get their point about Hp numbers but its also a 4-cyl
Matthew MoellerOct 01, 2012 @matt are you referring to a mustang gt? The v6 mustang is the base model with 305hp ~$22k, the GT is a V8 with 420hp. Not the car they are referring to above.
Matt PiccoloSep 30, 2012 The sti only costs like a grand more than the gt?
Joe LamoukSep 30, 2012 It's true, the actual Impreza is heavy. I remember that the first Impreza GT had a weight of only 1250 Kg, and it was already AWD.
David GuerreroSep 30, 2012 @shelby, if you wanna compare a Subaru to a mustang, compare the brz, it's a coupe like the mustang
William DownsSep 30, 2012 Shelby u gotta remember this is a 4dr/5dr with awd, awd systems aren't light
Shelby CassandraSep 30, 2012 One go these weighs the same as a Mustang? I would've figured that it would be at least 600 pounds lighter.
Matthew MoellerSep 30, 2012 The mustang point illustrates the lack of any advancement in output the STi for years, and the lack of wrc competition is simply unacceptable when you are selling the cars based on this non existent lineage. Surprised you dare point that out carbuzz!
Nick StiSep 30, 2012 I hate seeing Ford do so well in rally competitions with the Fiesta, because if you compare a stock fiesta with an STi, there's no competition, yet I hear people say how awesome fiestas are (probably due to Ken Block)
Ian RagsdaleOct 01, 2012 This is Verdier's car. The Tanaka team ran a rwd Impreza too. They're super easy to convert, (just weld the center diff) but these cars have Nissan rear diffs and custom sub-frames because the stock rear can't handle the power.
Oscar VacaSep 30, 2012 I saw this thing in Vegas. so sick!
William DownsSep 30, 2012 Hey grant this was the Subaru from formula d, converted to rwd, keep your mouth shut about what u don't know

William DownsSep 30, 2012 Rwd drifting Subaru, sweet

Nick StiSep 30, 2012 Yeah SRT needs to find some more drivers. However Lasek is showing off how great Subaru's symmetrical all wheel drive is
William DownsSep 30, 2012 Great example that lasek can't drive, I'm not sure if he has done good in any race this season, Everytime I watched him race something went wrong
David MarkhamSep 30, 2012 A great example of AWD here...

Yeah, STi is the best, except that I love EVO's much more !
I love the wrx sti 4door, good article
Thanks for the article guys! And Brian, the next Evo will be a hybrid, so go buy an STi already!
My next car if Mitsubishi doesn't make an evo soon
