Smart to Send Off Fortwo with Iceshine Edition

This limited edition city car model is packed with special features for a bundle price.

Introduced way back in 1998, the Smart Fortwo is getting ready to say goodbye. We've already seen spy shots of its replacement, but before that comes along, the Mercedes-owned city-carmarker is bound to send it off with a smattering of special editions. Like this one. Called the Iceshine edition and available in coupe or cabrio configurations, the unique Smart car is finished in an azure blue body color complete with a white tridion safety cell, split-3-spoke 15-inch alloys and mirror caps.

The limited edition model also benefits from LED daytime running lights, a panoramic roof for the coupe and tritop fabric soft top in black for the cabrio. Inside can be found electric windows, a luggage compartment cover, leather-effect seats with a white fabric insert on the backrest and white stitching, a 3-spoke leather sports steering wheel with shift paddles and white stitching, and iceshine edition logos embossed on the floor mats and wing mirrors. Smart's audio system offers an RDS radio and a pair of integrated loudspeakers.

Customers can also choose from a range of options including smart audio system navigation/multimedia, electric power steering, ambient lighting and assistance package with cruise control and trip computer. "The smart fortwo edition iceshine demonstrates once again how extensively the dynamic two-seater can be customized and provides would-be owners with a car that stands out on style and on price," said Gary Savage, Managing Director, Mercedes-Benz Cars. "Customers can drive away this new smart which is packed with a huge array of additional equipment for just £250 more than a passion model."
