Really? An auto? I like new gen autos. They are usually far better shifters than the regular Joe...but that's not the point is it? It's about being in total control. If it has 2 doors it needs a manual. Imagine shifting 800hp...Daydreaming.
There's nothing wrong with auto. Wouldn't be my choice but everyone has their own preference.

The Boss 302 is not available in an auto either. Look if you need an auto get a GT. I was just saying the boss 302's engine would be better for DD-ing.

And I think it's pretty awesome and unique that this car is ONLY available in a manual as it should be. Make this an auto and Caroll Shelby would roll over in his grave.
Worn tolerances can't handle boost, or the lag on the pulley drive. A Boss 302 would make a better DD, my dads gets 25-26 mpg on the highway.
An auto would be nice for drag racing and being a daily driver. But first of all, supercharged cars don't make good daily drivers. N/A cars do though. Superchargers are quite harsh on engines with high miles.
I wish they make it auto too cuz I'm a para and have to drive with hand controls.
well, if you want a daily driver, I suggest you buy yourself a Prius, it comes with an auto, great mpg, and plenty of storage space for all the groceries you could possibly desire.
I said it so you can curse me all you want this car should have an auto option. you want to enjoy shifting and being purists fine. i want a daily driver, it should be auto. shifting is too much work for me.

@Aaron. Haha yeah my dad has a Ram SRT-10 as one of his daily drivers and it gets horrible gas mileage. Although not the worst mileage of the cars he has lol

Must've been a terrible driver. Cuz I easily won over the SRT-8. About a 40 to 110 and it was pretty convincing win. Granted I did get the hit but still. Horsepower sells cars, torque wins races

Tyler, even from a dead stop you would've taken him. The lightning makes great low end torque with that S/C.
@Robert. Have you ever even driven a 2nd gen Lightning? They are ridiculously fast and easy to upgrade. Both the Lightning and SRT-10 Ram are crazy fast and not just for trucks. Mine is near stock and I ripped a Challenger SRT-8 from a 40 roll

Tyler, that white lightning looks pretty sick. Looks like its on bags and tucking 22's or 24's.
They have totally different interiors; door panels, gauge cluster, seats... Suspension is engineered to handle, the lightning sits about 4-5 inches lower. The engines are two different animals. Different frames. I can go on all day.
Lightning was far from a turd. There isn't much that is the same with a lightning as a regular F150 maybe the cab and fenders. They are almost completely different.
