Meh I hate the Veyron, it took a 16.4 quad turbo mammoth of a car to be a 1993 naturally aspirated McLaren F1 :) Hm holding the record of best Supercar of all time for 12 years and still the fastest naturally aspirated seems amazing to me :3

Again ima state that im not sayin this isnt a cool car. Same for the cobras. But neither venom or cobra do anything for me. They are great cars but would never be in my garage. I take cars like veron and agera with higher reguard than venom and cobra
These are hard to build, hence why there are only 5 examples thus far. This is more than just a body kit or engine swap. It's a completely different car created from other cars. It uses the best engine, transmission, and lightweight platform.
Yeah... The Cobra was just a heavily modified British car, like the Venom... But the Cobra is one of the most amazing cars of all time.
To me thats like an overly exaggerated tuner company. They got a car. WAAAY modified it. And set some records. Cool story, but to me. Companies like koenigsegg have a better story IMO. and if i were to choose id drive them before venom
Yea they redid everything to make it a truly powerful car. Im not sayin this car isnt awesome. Its just as i said nothing is really special or stand out in this car (to me). Its a heavily modified car by a very small company.

There was a lot more done to this car than just drop a large engine in it. To adapt the car had to be widened and elongated ridiculous amounts line one of these up next to a lotus and this thing nearly dwarfs the lotus. Pretty much only the style is

They also don't have millions in financial backing from Volkswagen. Truly a underdog story, and I'm proud to see this car on top. Makes me proud of my country's ingenuity to make such a beast. They did everything as they should have. Amazing results.
@Geoff Then if that's really the case, the other companies should have done the same thing, but they didn't and haven't. Congratulations to Hennessey for being the first smart manufacturer. These cars are hand built, they have no big factory.
Im not sayin this car was easy to build. Im just comparing with the same kinda of perspective that people do with 1200hp gallardos. A lot of companies can put a big engine into a weight saving car. Theres just nothing 'special' here

This car really pisses me off. Anyone can put a massive tuned engine into a super light car and break a record. Veyron and agera are crafted works of amazing technology and engineering. Not sayin hennessy isnt a great man or bad car maker.

When I saw the Veyron for the first time it looked tiny compared to videos and photos I've seen!

@Aziz Dude, are you dumb? It's the exact opposite. An American LS engine will run day in and day out reliably. Many drive Corvettes as daily drivers with no problems. The Veyron has to be serviced like 3 times per year at a cost of over $300,000.

And I gave my LS1 HELL, and nothing ever went wrong besides it throwing a belt. And that's just because it makes so much power. :) LS engines are the best. Developed by Katech, some of the best engineers in the world. Bulletproof power.

I like the agera but it's a lil too bulky for me..lotus makes a beautiful car with great lines..and the venom adds to that
no there shouldn't be different categories..the venom and the ssc aero are production cars..they may not have they may not have the huge factory and production lines as the Veyron but nevertheless meet the criteria
Did the venom fail to beat the agera's 0-200 and 0-300-0 times, or did they not even try?
If I remember correctly, the 0-300 times were practically even between the agera R and old venom, with the agera having a slight advantage.
If I was to buy a hypercar, I would not care if it's 0.9 faster to 300km/h than the Agera R, since I hardly would use this speed anyway, but I wouldn't want it to be a Lotus with a Twin Turbo Corvette engine. Not dissing the car's performance, but it's a completely different league to me.
That's crazy fast! Sweet! @Dale totally agree. Veyron should be in a totally different category. It does what it does with everything! Leather on every surface, pretty much luxury and technology galore. Venom is a bare bones street legal race car.
I am really starting to love this car. I have always been a fan, but several other 7 figure cars have been more appealing. There are still several 1mil+ cars that I would want, but this is incredible. The updated 2013 one is certainly a step up

Frankly I think stripped down road-legal race cars like the Venom or SSC whatever should be in their own separate category from actual production cars like the Veyron or GT-R in things like this, but that's just my opinion.
