2014 Corvette Stingray vs. New Rivals

The new C7 Corvette is finally here but when compared to its 911 and Viper rivals, is it the superior performance sports car?

You've read everything so far about its performance specs and seen its design inside and out. Opinions have been made, a few disagreements have erupted amongst CarBuzz commenters and maybe even a death threat here or there in regards to the all-new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. So now it's time to compare it against some of its competitors, in a civil manner of course. The Porsche 911 Carrera S and the SRT Viper are undoubtedly the new Vette's chief targets and both have loyal fan bases of their own.

The new Corvette is powered by a 450 horsepower V8 while the Viper has its V10 pumping out 640 hp. The 911 S has a 3.8-liter flat-six producing 394 ponies. Will the new C7 Corvette take the crown?
