I admit it is an incredible car but it does not have the style, the soul, the passion and "art" of italian designs. I will always choose a Ferrari.

its a very organic design, i like it but i think it will grow on me more in a different colour
You know why people don't like it? Because its extremely modern which in my eyes is great, but to other people who are used to boring cars..this is very different. I love the design of this car, and the overall way car itself design Is going.

I don't like the design much, but if I had the money, I'd probably buy it, because this thing looks like it's going to be an awesome car to drive.

I'm guessing that the Ferrari will have the greater top speed but the Mclaren will record the best lap times
I'm going to go with the P1 being faster on a track, with the F150 being more fun/engaging. That's kind of how it was with the Mp4-12c and the 458 italia.

If you multiple $1.2 million by the amount of units mclaren are producing you get : 600 million which should be more than a enough profit for mclaren
The one and only Covette that has ever been sold for over a mil has already been sold. And that was for charity, which means it sold for so much simply for tax write off purposes. It it NOT worth even $100k
It just looks like they tried to hard with the design, I understand about the functionality but it looks disgusting and looks like it has an overbite.

@tino. I personally think it looks amazing! But knowing McLaren they didn't make it to look pretty they made it to be more arrow dynamic and be able to turn better and put down force better.. I also like the color tho. But your the artist =P

Yeah the cabin doesn't fit the over body it's too oversized n not proportional... The lights look lost... With the front bumper, wait there isn't one... N also, with two tone colors split it isn't working... Over all I say epic fail...

While it has some nice design details, it's overall shape is unbalanced, and lacks an organic soul.
If this thing is anywhere near as revolutionary as the F1 it will take some beating.

There carbon ceramic, there solid because they used to be drilled and slotted at one point then they found out how dangerous and prone to failure it made the rotor so now there just thicker and solid to help prevent over heating and exploding rotors
no man, cross drilled rotors are for posers. This is a racing machine...solid rotors work best.
Well it's definitely a polarizing design but I don't see it being as timeless as the F1.. Or even a 458 for that matter.
Serge McLaren have always beaten Ferrari, on the track there always faster then the Ferrari equivelent

I think McLaren has proven it knows the buisness when it comes to handling since both of there last cars were track monsters and are for the most part faster then any of its competitors when it comes to track times

@ will will - but if you think about it Full power is only available at a certain rpm. KERS is available throughout the power band (provided batts are charged) and is therefore worth more than extra engine BHP. #logic
@ william the additional power from kers will only be available for short periods so i dont consider that towards the total power of the car. Its like nitro, no one considers it towards the total power of the car.
I love McLaren. They must be one of the smartest car company's on the planet. Same tub and engine as the mp4 means they save huge on development cost and will make a killing on the new P1. Can't wait to see this thing in action on a track!
This has to be the most anticipated Hypercar of 2013 (apart from the Enzo replacement maybe...). As to the type of engine, who cares? Mclaren know a thing or two about making things go around twisty tracks in record time....

Carlos u have any idea how much money and time it takes to make a new engine, McLaren already said when they launched the mp4 that they wouldn't use another company's engine anymore, and the 3.8 is the only one they have and that motors a beast anyway
