Mini ALL4 Racing Wins Dakar Rally

After a grueling trek through Chile, Mini once again takes home first place in this year's Dakar Rally.
Approximately 5,300 miles. That's how far participants had to go in this year's Dakar Rally in order to complete the grueling and often deadly event. But in the end, it was a Mini All4 Racing that crossed the finish line first at Santiago de Chile. Driven by Stephane Peterhansel and Jean-Paul Cottret, it was the second year in a row that Mini won the grueling endurance rally. The duo crossed the line 42:22 minutes ahead of their nearest pursuers. In third place was a second Mini All4 Racing driven by Leonid Novitskiy and Konstantin Zhiltsov.

Senior Vice President of the Mini brand, Dr. Kay Segler, applauded the victory saying "This is a magnificent triumph and I would like to offer our congratulations on behalf of Mini not only to Stephane Peterhansel and Jean-Paul Cottret, but also to Sven Quandt's entire X-raid team." The winning duo completed the rally in 38 hours, 32 minutes and 39 seconds.
