In a few
months’ time,
BMW will put its i3 EV into production. So the automaker has taken
the all-electric hatchback to the Arctic Circle for a spot of cold weather
endurance testing. The shots
come courtesy of the Bavarian carmaker itself, however BMW failed to reveal any new
information about the prototype. For the
uninitiated, the i3 utilizes BMW's new Live and Drive architecture, the Drive
component being made up of a rear-mounted electric motor rated at 168 hp and
184 lb-ft of torque.
