Maserati Updates GranTurismo MC Stradale

The Trident marque is rolling into Geneva with an updated version of its top-of-the-line super-coupe.
The new Quattroporte will be the star of Maserati’s display at the Geneva Motor Show this year, the Trident marque is also coming with an updated version of the GranTurismo. The model in question is the top-of-the-line GranTurimso MC Stradale, the stripped-out, track-focused version of the Modenese automaker’s big coupe. The model has been part of Maserati’s line-up for a few years now. So what’s different about it?

While Maserati had removed the rear seats from the MC Stradale, the new version has put them back in. The American version (which dropped the Stradale name) always kept those extra seats, but fitted an automatic transmission instead of the robotized manual. This European version keeps the six-speed MC Race Shift gearbox, coupled to the 4.7-liter V8 tuned to 460 horsepower and kept in check by Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes. The more aggressive styling has also been augmented by a new carbon-fiber hood with central air intake and a fresh set of 20-inch alloys.
