@Benjamin, lol they make great family cars & thats about it for right now!
Benjamin McCormick Feb 28, 2013
@ Bruce: I love the sentiment behind a statement like "FU Honda...I'll be by soon to buy one of your vehicles."
William Downs Feb 27, 2013
Gotta give respect to the R line from the 90's and early 2000's also, they were no slouches on the track even if they were fwd
Matt Piccolo Feb 27, 2013
Even if Honda doesn't have a rwd car currently on the market, I'll never ever forget the s2k and nsx. They will always b great cars. <3 Honda
Christopher Scott Feb 27, 2013
<3 Honda
Jack Howard Feb 27, 2013
It doesn't say anywhere in the title that any of these are the best.
Bruce Tumblin Feb 27, 2013
To hell with Honda, I would get my wife an Accord or Pilot (because of their reliability & resale value) but I'm not buying one for myself! :-|
Ashton Summers Feb 27, 2013
@Bruce. You can probably blame Honda for spending billions on the Honda Jet development for no S2000 replacement. As well as other expensive projects that bring no significant benefit to the brand.
Noah Roberts Feb 27, 2013
Honda left its purpose behind after discontinuing the S2000. Disgraceful. What do you think the next article is on?
William Downs Feb 27, 2013
OK, so that means they shouldn't do a article on Honda cause there are better company's ?.. Its not like this is the end of the series
Carlos Gallego Rodriguez Feb 27, 2013
@William yes i know, and that's why i mentioned Lancia, a brand that in the motorsport world is dead today. Do not get me wrong, i like Honda, but there are so many better brands on racing.
Tyler Wallace Feb 27, 2013
*honda
Tyler Wallace Feb 27, 2013
Doesn't make dirt bikes to tho
William Downs Feb 27, 2013
They may not be now but they were and they were very competitive, these article are about the history of the brands in motor sports, not there current standings and Honda has a rich racing history they deserve an article as much as anyone
Jake Dula Feb 27, 2013
@Carlos, yeah I'm kinda thinking the same thing. Honda's no where near as Motorsport-y as a lot of other companies.
Carlos Gallego Rodriguez Feb 27, 2013
Honda? Over Lancia, Bmw, Mercedes, Audi, Toyota, Alfa Romeo.... And so and so?... I like Honda but I'd never think on this as a motorsport brand
Bruce Tumblin Feb 27, 2013
What amazes me about Honda is that they have the money & tech to make a RWD Sports Car like the BRZ/FT-86 or replace the S200, then being it to North America; but they won't build it! SMH
Haoliang Li Feb 27, 2013
yeah Honda!
Justin Routh Feb 28, 2013
I mean you dont have to believe me i could care less either way.
Byakka Hirakawa Feb 28, 2013
Justin, face it man We kno ur lieing to be a troll Like anyone would race a stock accord, lol
Justin Routh Feb 28, 2013
Id say 06-09 si. I dont see what youre so pissed about all i said was these were underpowered imo. I know they werent made for straight line speed but still
Justin Routh Feb 28, 2013
From what im finding the 04 accords 0-60 is about 6 seconds and the 2012 si is 6.5 and this was definitely not a 2012 it was a year or two ago
Justin Routh Feb 28, 2013
So no he couldnt out perform me at limit he was at limit an i was nowhere near close
Justin Routh Feb 28, 2013
Beginning i didnt take him too seriously and kept low rpms and still pulled on him..
Justin Routh Feb 28, 2013
Wow dude you are dumb and dont get what im saying at all. Yes he was trying to race he was mad that i passed him. When we came to a red light he was revvin up for a race. When it turned he spun his tires and was trying to race. Like i said from the
Matt Piccolo Feb 28, 2013
Yea do u even know if he was trying to race Justin? He probably wasn't even trying (like you.)
Quinn Conner Feb 28, 2013
Just happens that low torque is the reasoning for him revving higher then you. Big deal! Who tries racing from the low rpms anyhow? Let the civic wind up to produce the highest numbers A ricer to me is someone who explains "races" the way you do
Quinn Conner Feb 28, 2013
Exactly. Your dads sedan is heavier. Has a bigger motor. It needs the torque unlike the civic. The civic is sportier then your dads accord, lighter, can outperform your dads accord when both cars are at thier limits.
Justin Routh Feb 28, 2013
Lol and how does that make me sound like a ricer? Oh and sorry i happened to be in my dads car is that a big deal? Youre a moron man
Justin Routh Feb 28, 2013
I know that im not a dumbass i was stating that he was trying so much harder in his newer "sporty" model than i was in a sedan from the same company and he was still slower. I realize the si is cheap but its quite slow to call a performance model
Quinn Conner Feb 28, 2013
Your right on one thing Justin, maybe that civic with no torque HAD to rev up each gear. If a car doesn't have a lot of torque, they surely have to rev it higher to accelerate quicker. Not everyone is trying to race your dads stock accord. Lmao
Quinn Conner Feb 28, 2013
Justin, I know your trying to bash civics, maybe even Honda. But you sound like a typical ricer right now. "My dads auto accord spanked a civic with 40 less hp and I never went above 3500rpms". You crack me up dude! U weren't racing bro!
Justin Routh Feb 28, 2013
Im sure it would be quicker there but thats not my point. I just think si's are a crappy excuse for a performance car. Its a everyday cheap car with a little more oomf.
Haoliang Li Feb 27, 2013
Then go on a track and see the result
Justin Routh Feb 27, 2013
Dont underestimate that accord its beaten my buddies IS300 and my other friends 325i which are quite a bit smaller. Although i personally wouldnt buy one its a nice little sedan with some pep to it
Justin Routh Feb 27, 2013
And i had an auto he had a manual. Maybe he wasnt goin all out idk but he was goin well over 5 or 6k rmp in all gears so...
Justin Routh Feb 27, 2013
Nope probably like a 2006+ it was 240hp 215tq versus 197hp and 139 piss poor tq
Peter Mark Gacek Feb 27, 2013
S2000 FTW
Matt Piccolo Feb 27, 2013
@ Justin, sorry I would extremely dout that unless the civic was a 99 or something
Justin Routh Feb 27, 2013
Lol the si's are slow. Some dude tried to race me and i didnt even try and race him back because i was in my dads car and in town. I didnt go past 3500rpm in an 04 accord v6 and he couldnt keep up...
Ryan Lopez Feb 27, 2013
Yeah but I would still take a brz/ miata
Haoliang Li Feb 27, 2013
Go try Civic Si yourself and you'll know it is a true sports car. It is underpowered but it has a better chassis than its competitors.
Bruce Tumblin Feb 27, 2013
@Prabel, I understand exactly what your talking about!
Jake Judges Feb 27, 2013
@prabal they make loads of money of boring old people
Prabal Singh Feb 27, 2013
It makes me so upset that this never translates into real sports cars people can buy. All Hondas sold now are bloated and under powered. What went wrong? Does Honda hate the idea of making money?

That would be awesome!
William Downs Feb 27, 2013
Now that would be an interesting partner ship, would also greatly benefit the nsx....I really wish Honda would get back into the performance game
Matt Piccolo Feb 27, 2013
Motor trend had an article up earlier this week. Honda and mclaren are considering teaming up again. Merc and mclaren's partnership is ending at the end if 2013, and mclaren and Honda are more than likely going to partner-up after that.
Matt Piccolo Feb 27, 2013
The euro that is
Matt Piccolo Feb 27, 2013
I loved this gen of the euro civic. Wish the new one wasn't hideous
David Jefferis Feb 27, 2013
This is based on the slick last-model Euro-Civic, now replaced by a deeply unappealing piece of ugly tin.
Bobby Junior Feb 28, 2013
It's most likely a 2006, because the next year Honda began the "earth car" livery
Danny Rodriguez Feb 28, 2013
I think is a 2005
Emil Klossie Kleijsen Feb 28, 2013
This is so beautiful, probably my favorite F1 car, up there with the F2012 (even though I'm not a fan of ferrari as a team), can someone tell me what year this is?
Josh Banning Feb 27, 2013
I love the 07-08 cars with all the aero parts on them.
Noah Roberts Feb 27, 2013
They all look pretty similar to me

Hondas are great cars

Ahah all the engines were honda's and its the first race to have no engine failures/problems... What a coincidence

I love those BARs
