Hyundai Reveals Sexy HND-9 Concept

Hyundai's next Genesis Coupe is previewed by the HND-9 Concept, indicating a more dramatic design is on the way.
Aside from New York, another auto show is currently happening on the other side of the world. The Seoul Motor Show is now in full swing and, as expected, it’s a major display for South Korean and other Asian automakers. So it should come as no surprise that Hyundai has taken this opportunity to officially unveil its HND-9 Sports Coupe Concept, a clear design preview of the next-gen Genesis Coupe. The concept was previewed online just over a week ago but Hyundai has now released official images of its latest Fluidic Sculpture-themed creation.

And we like what we’re seeing. The HND-9 has a front-engine, rear-drive setup, with a 3.3-liter turbocharged engine driving 365 horsepower through an eight-speed automatic. Styling-wise, the concept features butterfly doors which we all know won’t make production, but other elements such as its wide stance, dramatic front- and rear-ends and mesh grille could very well make the final drawing board. Inside is a "driver-oriented, high-tech interface" design display that indicates Hyundai is putting renewed focus on interior design.
