24 Hours in the SLS AMG GT3. But the Gullwing supercar isn't done with the Ring just yet. Mercedes has now taken the electric version back to the vaunted Nordschleife and with it set a new lap record. The SLS Electric Drive lapped the circuit in 7:56.234, making it the fastest production electric vehicle ever to lap the Ring. Although the Toyota TMG EV P002 lapped the track
last year in 7:22.329, that was an electric racing prototype, neither production-ready nor street-legal.
