Nissan GT-R Goes Summersaulting at Knysna Hill Climb(Feb 25, 2014)Yep, manual transmission is great fun stuck in city traffic for hours on end, left leg ache etc.... The argument for manual over auto is irrelevant because manual won't be around in mass produced cars in around 10 years - it will become an anachronism.
Hennessey Venom GT Busts the Veyron SS's Balls (Again)(Feb 25, 2014)I agree that the LaFerrari/918/P1 would be a much better buy than either this or the Veyron. You need to own your own runway to get anywhere near the top speed of the Veyron or Venom. At least the Veyron is drivable anywhere in comfort. The venom seems to be a one trick pony - top speed and nothing else. It's not even as if this ability can be properly exploited..
London Cyclist Slugged by Audi Driver(Jan 28, 2014)Christ there are some ignorant people on this app. 6 cyclists were killed in London in December alone. I drive a car and ride a bike and common courtesy costs nothing. The Audi driver broke the law by parking in a big box with a picture of a BIKE in it. The cyclist should have let it go though as that is how this foolishness starts. We have to all share the road.
Lamborghini Countach Vs. Aventador Roadster(Jan 24, 2014)I see the odd Aventador around London these days and it's nice but it's a little - meh... On the other hand, when I saw my first Countach in the early 80s it was an EVENT.
This is Why Chevy's Being Dropped in Europe(Jan 16, 2014)You have to also consider that Chevy is not considered a great brand in Europe. It is (rightly or wrongly) considered a low grade of car with a poor reputation for reliability and quality.
British Police Can Now Go 207MPH Thanks to McLaren 12C Patrol Car(Jan 13, 2014)@Simon - exactly right. The cops wouldn't be able to use this as a patrol car even if they wanted to. You can't put suspects in it; there is no room for all of the kit they carry; it can't be parked in the kind of areas they frequently visit as it would be abused by the local kids....etc. It is just for promotional purposes.
The Bugatti Veyron: Unequivocal Game Changer(Jan 06, 2014)At least the only criticism levelled at this car is that it's design is not to everyone's taste. Like it or not, it changed the way most people thought about hyper performance and it is still the car the others chase after almost 10 years...
The World is Loving American-Built Cars(Dec 30, 2013)These cars are hardly being exported to countries that build their own quality vehicles. China's car industry is still in it's infancy and are generally making bad copies of European cars. Canada and Mexico have how many home grown vehicle manufacturers? Cars like the Mustang will still not sell well in Europe as they are still perceived as brash, inefficient and poorly made, whatever the truth may be.....
Top 5 Chris Harris Videos of 2013(Dec 29, 2013)The power distribution is not 50:50. It depends on what the driver is doing and it is supposed to still FEEL like a RWD car.
Onboard a Crash in a Prodrive WRX STI(Dec 27, 2013)If he held on to the wheel at the point of impact he probably fractured his elbow/lower arm - happens often..
Also, that waste gate sound - fantastic..
Up Close with the Lykan Hypersport(Dec 26, 2013)Not a single shred of evidence as to how this thing drives yet and I can't help thinking that the price is driven by what they think the 'local' customers will pay (if the seven confirmed sales are even true) rather than what it is worth.. I remain cynical.
McLaren 12C Joins Dubai Police Force(Dec 25, 2013)Dubai's low crime rate could be down to having so many high performance police cars....or it's incredibly harsh, human rights-baiting sentencing policies, particularly for the poor.
