  • Bentley Considers Offering Armored Cars  (Aug 29, 2012) seems sensible, they already have plenty of muscle to haul some armor around.
  • 2013 Explorer Sport Has 365 Horsepower  (Aug 26, 2012) yup my mom's gotg a 4.0L pacifica. hustles up to speed and better mpg than this beast. (the extra 0.2l and 2 gears make the difference, the 3.8 with 4 speed was a slug and got lower mpg.)
  • Old Man Hits a Ferrari 4 Times  (Aug 26, 2012) well, i assume the old man's insurance is paying $30,000 rather than the owner. what a shame. i was surprised when i was in la to see a brand new Bentley parked roadside.
  • 2013 Hyundai Elantra Coupe Revealed in the Windy City  (Feb 08, 2012) 28/39? Better than a kick in the nuts 8-) But really, that's a prettyd decent HP (and more importantly, torque) figure for an engine that size and car that size.
  • Unearthed: 1983 Toyota Supra  (Dec 10, 2011) Well sure.. my 1985 Chevy Celebrity had a 2.5L 4 that was good for *85* horsepower. (At least it did make 125 foot pounds though.) Power output back then was simply not good.
  • Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen Goes on Walkabout, Fails  (Aug 09, 2011) Too late for me to be impressed by them making it through in one piece, since they already have broken down. It got to 102F (aboug 38c) even in Iowa. With high humidity so heat index was pushing 130.
  • A Very Expensive Text Message: Hackers Unlock Subaru Using Android  (Aug 08, 2011) Black Hat doesn't have anything to do with search engines. The term is after the old spaghetti westerns with "good guys" having white hats. "White Hat" security researches find security holes with all kinds of techniques (including using search engines) but "play nice" and wait for the vendors to give permission to report on problems. "Black Hats" don't wait, on the theory that companies will just ask them to never disclose holes and then just claiim their product doesn't have any, instead of
  • Coming To America: Ford Fiesta 1.0L Three-Cylinder EcoBoost Engine  (Jul 23, 2011) Probably not too bad. Turbocharged, so it's not like 120HP and no torque like some engines.
  • Official: Ferrari California Gets Some Rays From Wheelsandmore  (Jul 11, 2011) I don't think it'd be driveable here -- too many potholes, especially with it lowered. But damn it looks nice!
  • Wave of the Future: Future Tesla Sedan Design Study  (Jul 11, 2011) I like the rest, but the back a) is hideous and b) makes the trunk shaped so it takes up a bunch of space but can't actually hold anything.
  • GM Attempts To Please Saturn And Pontiac Owners  (Jul 01, 2011) I figure they have a good chance of holding onto Pontiac buyers. Hummer? Anyone who wants to spend huge cash on a bloated slow vehicle can get a Land Rover. No comment on Saturn, but I don't think GM has anything similar.
  • RIP: Ferrari 458 Italia  (Jun 25, 2011) Just like to point out the brain doesn't have pain receptors. And probably anyone with a Ferrari has too much money. RIP Ferrari.
  • Video: World Record Drift at the Mercedes-Benz World  (Jun 25, 2011) Not to be a smartass or anything, but disabling the front differential on my car would turn it into no wheel drive.
  • Last Pagani Zonda F Roadster Up For Sale  (Jun 10, 2011) I've got sticker shock, but damn that's a nice looking car.
  • Unearthed: 1969 Pontiac Firebird  (Jun 10, 2011) Rims look nice, and I don't think anyone would oobject to brake and handling upgrades. Well, my sister did.. went from a Plymouth Horizon to borrowing my parents Caddy "This car stops when I hit the brakes and goes where I steer it. I don't like it" haha
  • Dacia Duster Pikes Peak Racer  (May 25, 2011) Hopefully it has plenty of turbocharging, otherwise that 850HP will be like 300HP by the top.
  • Report: Saab Finds New Chinese Partner  (May 25, 2011) Welp, good knowing ya Saab. No one in their right mind would buy that 9-4x, it's hideous, so if they aren't making anything else right now (and probably would have to sell those to stay afloat) then I guess that's that.
  • UK Magazine Creates The Perfect Driver Car  (May 25, 2011) You're scoffing too much about a diesel sports car. The one concern would be engine note, but i think the proper resonator could make it sound right. Regarding acceleration "despite" low HP figures.. horsepower doesn't get a car moving, torque does, and a turbodiesel will make almost peak torque right at idle. Unorthodox maybe but i like the idea.
  • Rolls-Royce Begins Their First Certified Pre-Owned Program  (May 08, 2011) Why buy new? I see people driving older Rolls in movies and such, they don't look like an old used car, they have a timeless classic appearance. It's not like "look I just bought an 87 Chevy", even with a Caddy ppl are almost as impressed with a used one as a new one.
  • iAmnotimpressed  (May 08, 2011) ugh, don't get me started on touchscreens. that is the worst, these cars where you have to screw around with a screen to like change the volume. there are still cars where there is not a bunch of iJunk in them, and even better since the junk costs $$$ the cars without it are cheap!
  • Ram Long-Hauler Concept Has 1,600 Mile Range  (Apr 30, 2011) I'd guess "no it won't make production." I mean, it's a (just under) 10MPG truck with no useable bed (since a diesel tank will be sitting there.) I'd be more impressed if they'd come up with something with, say, 80 gallons capacity and 20MPG (obviously neither would get rated MPG towing 37000 pounds though.)
  • Teased: 2012 Chevrolet Malibu Interior  (Apr 11, 2011) Looks good. I must say I'm a fan of a good sleeper too though.
  • Leaked Images: Spada Codatronca Monza  (Apr 09, 2011) Well, once it's available at any rate.
  • Leaked Images: Spada Codatronca Monza  (Apr 09, 2011) Beautiful. If I had thicks wads of cash I'd go buy one right now haha.
  • The Fiat Mefistofele and its 21.7-Liter Inline-Six  (Apr 09, 2011) Who needs reverse? In all seriousness, maybe it didn't have one, I know I've seen some of the salt flats cars etc. where some guys have to push it backwards if it rolls past the start line. What a sick car!
