Australian Drag Blows Out Tire at 244 MPH(Dec 01, 2013)Joshua, he didn't jump. You can hear the RPM's come up to spool the turbos as he stages the first light, then peddles the brake to stage the second light and he never moves after that, until the light turns green.
Ram 1500 V6 Diesel Gets 28 MPG(Nov 23, 2013)Yesterday I drove my Lincoln to Orlando and back. Did the speed limit all the way there, averaged 28 mpg. I averaged 90 mph on the way home and got 22 mpg lol.
This Hyundai Genesis Coupe Has 1000 HP(Nov 07, 2013)Can you say wheel spin? Should've slapped some drag tires on that thing. All that horsepower can't even be put down. I'll bet that's why the video was cut short...
Chevelle Vs. Trans-Am Street Drag Race(Oct 21, 2013)That Chevelle spun for a good 100'.
The T/A hooked and left it in the dust.
How in the hell do they spend all that time prepping and staging and no cops come? I want to live there.
Think Of It As A Nissan Patrol GT-R(Oct 21, 2013)As much as I like the combination, I feel like I'd rather have a N/A V8 for an off-road vehicle. Better, instant-low end torque. Never have to wait for a turbo to spool. I mean it's cool, but not very practical.
Monster Truck Wedding Entrance Fails Hard(Oct 14, 2013)You can't even see the ramp angle in the video, how can you make that assumption. You can hear the driver let off the throttle. Besides the trajectory wasn't all that bad, it was too much distance for that truck to handle.
World's Fastest Stick Shift Mustang Posts 8.58 Quarter-Mile(Oct 14, 2013)You might think that having a solid rear axle may make a car handle like shit. But look at how close a new mustang and a camaro are on the skid pad, and lap times. Ford has pretty good solid axle suspension geometry. They've proven they can handle
Monster Truck Wedding Entrance Fails Hard(Oct 12, 2013)Jason, kill the switch meaning let off the gas. To obtain a smooth trajectory during a jump, you have to maintain the same exact throttle position in the air as you left the ramp with. Any less, nose over; any more, back flip.
Elon Musk Fires Back Re: Model S Fire(Oct 06, 2013)There's nothing wrong with an electric car... A car can be powered by absolutely anything these days. The advantage of electric over internal combustion in terms of power, is that electric motors provide instant torque
CarBuzz Q&A with Tanner Foust(Sep 03, 2013)I like top gear USA only because tanner is on the show. He used to be on a show called "Battle of the super cars", I liked him in that show too. The mans just a good driver. Those other two guys are just fools. Rutledge is a NASCAR commentator.
Readers Ride: Lou Guerrero(Aug 28, 2013)Vvvv because if you smacked the front of the car and broke a headlight, the glass may still break and fall down behind the bumper. Besides, how you drift at night with no headlights?
Readers Ride: Lou Guerrero(Aug 28, 2013)Put it this way, when people see damage like that, they KNOW you drift. If the car had no damage at all, people would assume you just drove a 240. You've just "positive lock and dropped it" by accident.
Readers Ride: Lou Guerrero(Aug 28, 2013)If you're referring to the tape, it's because those are glass headlights. It's not stupid, it's a necessity at a track. Keeps broken glass from getting all over the place and having track down time.
Chevrolet Reveals First Photos of 2014 Camaro Convertible(Aug 22, 2013)Patrick's right, you can make a 4L V8 that can revv to the moon and have top end power, but they have measly torque! Can't get off the line, can't make it out of a turn. A 4L jaguar V8 makes 300hp NA, 400 when supercharged. Food for thought kid.
Chevrolet Reveals First Photos of 2014 Camaro Convertible(Aug 22, 2013)Patrick, don't forget that those engines in the 60's didn't have to meet today's emission standards. They could throw all the fuel and air they wanted at them and not worry about "greenhouse gases" or "carbon monoxide".
duPont Cars and Coffee August Meet(Aug 22, 2013)That cobra is sick and if you compare all American cars to a Coronet, you have a sad life. I seriously laughed out loud when I read "coronet".
duPont Cars and Coffee August Meet(Aug 22, 2013)I can see a supercharger on that mustang, and I bet this bel air has a late model LS engine in it. You're smoking crack to say you'd take the S2K over anything here.
duPont Cars and Coffee August Meet(Aug 22, 2013)Tim, similar to someone holding a megaphone up to your ear with a weed whacker at the other end. Or cutting a sheet of plywood with a circular saw.
Chevrolet Reveals First Photos of 2014 Camaro Convertible(Aug 22, 2013)I always felt like the camaro had such a tall side profile and a chopped roof, like from the rocker to the top of the door is too tall IMO. If they trimmed down some of the side profile, it would loose some weight and increase visibility.
