The base model presents a comprehensive list of features. On the comfort side, it provides almost everything you could want, including power adjustment for the driver’s seat, dual-zone climate control, a power moonroof, and adaptive cruise control. The safety suite is equally packed, with only blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert missing from the list. The only thing keeping this from being the model to go for is the basic infotainment system. Any car without basic smartphone integration is dead in the water these days. It has become the default interface between man and machine, which is why you need to add at least the Premium Package to a base ILX.
