The Type S builds on the A-Spec's feature list, but adds a lot more oomph to the performance, courtesy of a 3.0-liter V6 with a twin-scroll turbocharger. The Type S comes with AWD as standard and has Brembo performance brakes. With the more potent engine, the fuel economy figures drop to 17/21/19 mpg. Adaptive air suspension with auto leveling is included, which pushes curb weight upwards of 4,700 lbs. With model-specific exterior paint and interior upholstery and trim options, the Type S stands out from the rest of the range. It also gets a Sport Appearance package to make it more aggressive. There are more charging ports for passengers in the cabin, and the whole thing rolls on 21-inch wheels with self-sealing tires.
