There is no confusing array of configurations, and with only three Alfa Romeo Tonale models, the trims and specs are easy to understand. The range kicks off with the Sprint, and although it's the base model, it has exactly the same 285-hp powertrain, AWD, and mechanical specifications as the other trims levels. It also comes as standard with LED head-, fog- and taillights, 18-inch alloy wheels, black wheel-arch moldings and window surrounds, and a proximity key with push-button start. Inside, it has a rotary drive-mode selector, heated and 8-way power front seats, cloth upholstery, a manually tilting/telescoping and heated steering wheel, a universal garage-door remote, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless smartphone mirroring, front USB ports, Bluetooth audio streaming, Wi-Fi capability, and a six-speaker audio system.
Standard driver assists are comprehensive and include an auto-dimming rearview mirror, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control with forward-collision warning. Higher trims get upgrades such as Alcantara upholstery, a hands-free power liftgate, adaptive suspension, and larger wheels. Various package options are offered, but they're only applicable to the Ti and Veloce trims.
The Sprint is not eligible for any packages, but additional driver aids can be added to the Ti and Veloce via the $1,850 Active Assist package that comes with side parking sensors, an active driver assistant with lane centering and vehicle-follow, a 360-degree surround-view camera system, and an auto-dimming drive-side mirror. The Ti and Veloce can also be specced with the $2,500 Premium Interior & Sound package, which adds perforated leather upholstery, ventilated front seats with a driver's memory function, and a premium 12-speaker Harman Kardon audio system. Alternatively, you can opt for the ventilated leather seats by themselves via the $1,500 Premium Interior package.
Only the Ti is eligible for the $1,500 High Performance Driving package - a cosmetic package only that adds aluminum paddle shifters, red brake calipers, and metal-finish pedals.
