2021 Aston Martin DB11 Volante Review: Pretty Face, Extra Pace
Aston Martin knows how to build a good-looking car, and the 2021 Aston Martin DB11 Volante 2-door drop-top is one of the best-looking vehicles in its class. The DB11 has been a worthy replacement for the DB9, and this first-generation cabrio proves that Aston Martin has found the perfect groove. The 2021 DB11 Volante misses out on the fantastic V12 powertrain but still gets a healthy dose of power in from a Mercedes-AMG-sourced V8 engine producing 503 horsepower. The DB11 Volante is tighter and sharper than its predecessor and features an opulent interior. However, it is let down by aging tech and a cramped back seat. Nevertheless, competitors such as the Bentley Continental GT Convertible can't match it for looks, and in this class, that's what counts the most.

Verdict: Is the 2021 Aston Martin DB11 Volante A Good car?
Aston Martin has found a comfortable niche with its range of DB11 cars, and this two-door convertible is one of the best in the DB11 lineup. Aston Martin never meant for the DB11 to be a hyper-focused track machine, and most fans in the US understand this. With the top down and that AMG V8 purring under the hood, the Volante turns into the perfect cruising machine and is easy to live with on a daily basis, so long as there aren't more than two people in the cabin. The chassis is tight and playful, so there's tons of fun to be had, but we'd prefer to cruise along so that everyone can appreciate how good this thing looks. Inside, the materials and tech are up to scratch, but we did notice a few iffy interior pieces, and the infotainment system isn't the best. This Aston Martin, like most of its siblings, has a few flaws but makes up for it with gorgeous looks and an exotic allure that is difficult to match unless you go Italian or peruse a bracket much higher than the price of the 2021 Aston Martin DB11 Volante cabrio, which is around $220k.
What Aston Martin DB11 Volante Model Should I Buy?
There's only one trim on offer in the US, but thankfully Aston Martin provides new buyers with a comprehensive options list that allows one to spec this open-top Brit to the gills. If we were buying, we'd spec our 2021 Aston Martin DB11 Volante two-door cabriolet with the Comfort Package, which makes it even easier to live with on a daily basis by adding features such as a wind deflector, a heated steering wheel, and cooled seats; all essentials for top-down driving, especially in the more intemperate parts of the USA. The Tech package, which adds driver-assistance features such as blind-spot monitoring and auto park, is also a good idea. This also helps to put your mind at ease, since there is no official safety rating review of the 2021 Aston Martin DB 11. There are myriad colors and trim options on offer, and the one you pick will boil down to personal taste.
