The Aston Martin DBX707's exterior styling is, perhaps, one of the most enjoyable aspects of the vehicle. The front fascia proudly dons the signature vaned grille, enlarged to accommodate extra cooling requirements. This is flanked by leaf-shaped bi-LED headlights.
The clamshell bonnet, with its menacing-looking vents, hints at the power on offer, and the bumper is notably more aggressive with a splitter finished in high gloss black. The rear is dominated by a large carbon fiber diffuser housing a quartet of tailpipes and, topside, a roof-mounted rear spoiler.
As standard, the DBX707 rides on forged aluminum 22-inch wheels, of which there are many styles and colors to choose from. 23-inch rims are also available, should you want larger wheels. Aston Martin provides the 707 with Pirelli P Zero summer tires, measuring 285/40 up front and 325/35 at the rear. Pirelli Scorpion Zero rubber is specified as an all-season option.
The 2023 DBX707 conceals its size well but still takes up quite a bit of real estate. 198.4 inches in length, 66.1 inches in height, and 87.4 inches wide, it casts an intimidating shadow on your fellow road users. Despite some hefty hardware, it carries a curb weight of only 4,940 lbs, which looks like a featherweight compared to newcomers like the BMW XM.
The average DBX707 buyer is unlikely to head off the beaten path but Aston is adamant it can tackle some rough stuff. The maximum approach and break-over angles are rated at 25.7 and 18.8 degrees, respectively, while the departure angle comes in at 27.1 degrees. Maximum ground clearance is pegged at 9.3 inches.
Should you be forced to cross a body of water, the maximum wading depth is 19.7 inches.

While some high-end automakers have been accused of offering limited and conservative paint palettes, Aston Martin bucks the trend, and the 2023 DBX707 exterior colors are no different. The automaker splits its hues into various groupings which all consist of several shades. There are Blacks and Grays (12), Purples and Blues (9), Greens (11), Reds (6), Bronzes and Oranges (9), and Silvers and Whites (11).
Once you've nailed down a group, you have to wade through the various types of paint. There are solid shades like Lunar White and China Gray, and shimmering metallic finishes such as Arizona Bronze. If you'd prefer something a bit more special, you could always spring for something like Hyper Red, which is available in Signature Metallic paint.
Special paint (as it is referred to) can also be specified, along with Satin finishes, and colors from the company's past. These Heritage shades allow you to take delivery of a DBX707 in 1959 Racing Green, while the Racing Line boasts colors such as Scorpus Red.
If it were our money, we'd spring for the rich and luxurious sheen of Liquid Crimson or the traditional (and very British) Aston Martin Racing Green. Some of these colors are bound to be optional but, unfortunately, the automaker does not share optional extra pricing - it's simply too vulgar.
Yes, a panoramic glass sunroof is standard fitment on the DBX707.
A total of nine options are available, six of which are 22-inch wheels. The remaining three designs measure 23 inches in diameter.
