The Rapide AMR is a limited-edition version of the Rapide S and comes with upgraded carbon-ceramic brakes, retuned suspension, and aerodynamic upgrades. The 5.9-liter V12 now produces 595 horsepower and 416 lb-ft of torque that’s sent to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic gearbox and limited-slip differential. This may well be the last naturally aspirated V12 in the lineup.
This is Aston Martin’s fastest four-door sedan ever and 60 mph takes 4.2 seconds while top speed is 205 mph. The AMR’s diffuser, front splitter, and doorsills are all made from carbon fiber and it features bespoke seats and unique interior trim options over the Rapide S but the interior really shows its age compared to more modern rivals with an old infotainment system and small screen. It is, however, fitted with a stainless-steel quad exhaust sports exhaust system which emits a better sound than any turbocharged rival ever could.
The 21-inch wheels are unique to the AMR and the largest ever fitted to an Aston Martin. Production numbers are limited to 210 units worldwide and prices start at $240,000 before options.
