Its taller ride height gives it some mild off-roading capability and has it appeal to the crossover fanatics. The wagon remains poised and planted around corners and its air suspension keeps it cushy over just about any road surface. It shows off a handsome exterior and a classy cabin, and comes loaded with features including three-zone climate control, a heated steering wheel, ambient lighting, and Audi’s brilliant virtual cockpit. It’s expensive, but worth every penny.
• RS6 Avant: At the helm of the Avant is a strapping 591-hp 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission and AWD system. With this powertrain, the performance-purposed sports wagon shoots from 0 - 60 mph in a blistering 3.5 seconds. Along with that exhilarating performance, it’s notably polished and comfortable on the road, too, and it also bears an attractive and upscale interior brimming with modern features and tech. Its engine is relatively thirsty, however, although still on par with rivals. It has 20 cubes of space behind the rear seats, which may be slightly less than others in the segment, but is still ample for the monthly grocery run.
