The interior of the Audi A4 allroad is a comfortable place to spend time, especially over those long family trips. There is a fair amount of space for passengers, and those in back will be able to stretch out a little. Top-grade materials are used to create a stylish cabin and a wide array of advanced features are laid out across the dash in an ergonomic manner. However, the capacious and comfortable passenger appointments are juxtaposed by a somewhat small cargo hold for a wagon.
Despite its size, the Audi A4 allroad is not as accommodating as you might expect, but that doesn't mean it's uncomfortable. There is 37.4 inches of headroom across both rows of seating, so particularly tall passengers may feel the pinch. Legroom is very generous in the front, with 41.3 inches on offer, while those in the rear only get 35.7 inches. It should be adequate for most people, but if you need a more spacious wagon, you'll have to look at the A6 allroad. On the plus side, the seats are all extremely comfortable, and front-row passengers enjoy power-adjustable seats with heating.

As standard, the seats of the Audi A4 allroad are upholstered in high-quality leather. Color schemes include Atlas Beige, Black, Okapi Brown, and Rock Gray. This is paired with Black, Gray, and Beige dashboards, carpets, and headliners accordingly. The interior trim of either Brown Walnut or Natural Gray Oak lines the center console and coats the door panels. Meanwhile, the upper trim levels boast soft-touch leatherette surfaces along the high-traffic areas.
One of the reasons wagons were so popular in the past was their exceptional passenger and cargo capacities. Some expect the Audi A4 to have comparable cargo space to SUVs, but that is not the case. Only 24.2 cubic feet of area is present behind the rear seats. This is 12.2 cubic feet more than the standard A4 Sedan, but it's still less than you'll find in popular crossover SUVs. However, if you fold down the rear seats, a more impressive 58.5-cubic-foot area is opened up.
Around the cabin, there are various small-item storage solutions. The center armrest cubby and the glove compartment can accommodate larger items, while the bins around the center console and the cupholders, both in front and in the back, can handle keys and small change when not in use. Each door has a sizeable pocket, and the front seats have storage nets on the back.
The A4 comes outfitted with a long list of standard features, including eight-way power-adjustable and heated front seats, tri-zone automatic climate, and a panoramic sunroof if you'd prefer to let nature regulate the temperature for you. Keyless entry with push-button stop, cruise control, and power-operated windows comprise the convenience features. The driver-assistance tech includes all the basics like a rearview camera, and Audi pre sense and pre sense city with forward collision avoidance and automatic emergency braking. Upper trim levels get access to a lot more in the way of advanced safety with blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, parking sensors, active lane assist, a surround-view camera, and a 12.3-inch digital display as part of the Audi virtual cockpit. Top-tier comfort features include heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, and driver-seat memory. Available only to the Prestige model, the head-up display allows drivers to keep an eye on many of these systems without losing sight of the road, and traffic sign recognition makes for safer commuting.
The A4 allroad's infotainment system centers around a 10.1-inch touchscreen running MMI software. Standard functions include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and HD Radio, which all get channeled through a ten-speaker sound system. From the Premium Plus trim upwards a 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system replaces the base setup, and SiriusXM is added. Audi phonebox with a signal booster and wireless charging pad is also included. Navigation is only standard on the top-most trim though it can be added to the Premium Plus at extra cost.
With all the seats in place, the A4 allroad has 24.2 cubic feet of cargo space. Folding down the rear seats increases this to 58.5 cubic feet.
There is seating for five inside the 2023 Audi A4 allroad.
Two cupholders are located within the front center console with another two in the rear fold-down armrest.
