2023 A5 Coupe Safety

Unfortunately, the Audi A5 Coupe has not been under review by the NHTSA, but the agency did evaluate the larger Audi A5 4-door Sportback, which attained a full five-star overall rating, indicating that the two-door Coupe should be similarly safe. The Coupe also returned Good results for every crashworthiness test from the IIHS and scored a Top Safety Pick+ award for 2022.

2023 A5 Coupe Key Safety Features

There is a plethora of safety features packed into each and every Audi A5 Coupe. All trim levels come with six airbags, a rearview camera, and tire pressure monitoring. Driver assistance features on the base model include keyless start-stop, automatic windshield wipers, cruise control, Audi pre sense basic, high beam assist, lane departure warning, and Audi pre sense city. The Premium Plus adds adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, active lane assist, a top-view camera system, front/rear parking assistance, as well as Audi side assist and pre sense rear, which includes rear cross-traffic alert and vehicle exit warning. Finally, the Prestige introduces a head-up display, park assist, and traffic sign recognition.

2023 A5 Coupe Reliability

The A5 Coupe was recall-free for 2023 at the time of writing, and the 2022 models have two recalls listed for an inoperative rearview camera and an image that doesn't display. 2021 Audi A5 Coupe models were recalled five times by the NHTSA. The issues carried over from 2022 and included warnings for a rear light wiring harness that is missing scuff protection, while the others related to rear axle lock nuts that could become damaged and a seatbelt locking retractor that may malfunction.

Audi will cover the 2022 Coupe with a four-year/50,000-mile basic and powertrain warranty. Also included are a 12-year corrosion warranty and four years of roadside assistance.
