2023 A5 Sportback Safety

Although there is no safety rating for the 2023 Audi A5 Sportback from the NHTSA, last year's model is mechanically identical. The NHTSA awarded it an overall rating of five stars though the front crash tests only received four stars. The IIHS has more recent results for the 2023 model, having awarded the vehicle a rating of Good across the board. However, the Top Safety Pick+ award it received for 2022 has yet to be reaffirmed for 2023.

2023 A5 Sportback Key Safety Features

Audi outfits all of its cars with essential safety features. In the case of the A5 Sportback, this includes a rearview camera, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and a set of six airbags. Through trim upgrades and available packages, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, traffic-sign recognition, a surround-view camera system, and a head-up display can all be added.

2023 A5 Sportback Reliability

Audi seems to have perfected the A5 Sportback recipe with the latest generation. There was only a single recall issued in 2022, and this was for no image being displayed on the rearview camera. Even though there is no official reliability rating from an organization like J.D. Power, this seems to bode well for the vehicle. If something were to go wrong, the Audi A5 Sportback's warranty runs for four years or 50,000 miles, and powertrain coverage is covered for the same period.
