The 2023 A5 Sportback is available with a choice of two engines and three trim levels. Both are 2.0-liter turbocharged four-pots; one puts out 201 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque, while the other delivers 261 hp and 273 lb-ft. In either configuration, a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels.
The base trim comes with a seven-inch driver info display, matrix LED headlights, tri-zone climate control, wireless Apple CarPlay, and wired Android Auto. Audi's 12.3-inch virtual cockpit is standard on the upper trims, along with adaptive cruise control, a surround-view camera, keyless entry and ignition, wireless charging, and a top-view camera system. The head-up display is only standard on the top trim, which also gets park assist, heated rear seats, and navigation.
The Convenience Package is one of the options available to the base trim level. For $2,500, it adds a heated steering wheel, driver-seat memory, front and rear parking sensors, blind-spot assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and advanced keyless entry.
The Warm Weather Package ($1,300) for the Premium Plus includes front sports seats with additional lumbar support, as well as ventilation for these seats. At the same time, the Black Optic Package becomes available for $1,300; it is called the Black Optic Plus Package on the 45 TFSI. Both comprise a host of blacked-out exterior accents for the A5.
